View Full Version : City's troubles..Support your manager!
No wonder good managers get the sack in football when people are making comments on situations they dont know much about.Of course as paying supporters of CCFC we are entitled to our opinions but some of the comments that are floating about here are rubbish and pure speculation.Georgie is kicking up a fuss after being left out(for playing poor lately)and all i hear is sack the manager.Disgraceful!.John O Flynn names clubs on tonights local newspaper that want to sign him and give him loads of money.Ringmahon Rangers(No offence)would not want the guy the way he has played this season.Constantly injured and off form he should not even be in the team.He should remember he would be nothing without CCFC so he should have some bl**dy respect. It looks like when people talk about all the great young lads that have come back to play in the eircom league and changed the game here have brought there big EGO'S with them.Maybe thats why they did not make it across the pond?.How dare they undermine our manager. It is a pity it has come to this but in the next few weeks it looks like some big name will leave CCFC.I just hope its the right one.I am sure Brian Lennox will do the right thing because he will know exactly whats going on..

A text came into the Big Red Bench tonight saying that this bloke had been speaking to John @ the U21 game today and that he said none of this, he hadn't actually spoke to Spillage at all.
Respect to one player who doesn't go crying to the media every time things don't go his way.

Georgie is kicking up a fuss after being left out(for playing poor lately)
and rightly so...he is being made the scapegoat...what about flynny, murray etc...
made me sick watching nwanko out on the pitch there last night making a complete tool of himself and georgie sitting on the bench twiddling his thumbs.
dan murray heading downwards in his own box
u wouldnt see that happening out in hillington park for an under 12 game ffs.
nwanko's header last night which he seemed to clear from goal...couldnt do it again if he tried 10 times

Spillane said tonight on RedFM that he had O'Flynn's comments on tape, from an interview he did during the summer.
Two things about this. ONE: Spillane is acting like a cnut for pulling this tape out at a time like this. The fact that the tape was made at a different time places it in a seriously different context, when Flynny would have been far less guarded about how the comments might have been perceived. And as a journalist, Spillane knows that. But being the cnut that he is, he dusts off the tape and uses it to raise his own credibility as a journalist by acting like he achieved a real scoop. Pathetic!! Nobody should be fooled by this stunt, but I think that some will, enough to inflame a situation that is already bad.
TWO: It takes a very poor journalist indeed to fall back on proof that so-and-so said something to him. Any journalist worth her salt would grow her credibility by using material at the appropriate time, and not rely on distortions of truth by clever but dishonest timing.

They should seriously consider not giving him an interview anymore...boycott him
If there was any solidarity at all in the ranks they should boycott him.
He has acted up before in the past on different issues (same behaviour) ... and he is at it now again. This time around he could do serious damage. Notice aswell that he is rarely around to answer any of his inaccuratcies, he has been seen sneaking out of meetings etc. to avoid it. He is tabloid material alright !!

all this talk of a split
That is one conversation they are not getting paid for IMO, they players should be asking more of each other aswell. Cop on and concentrate on the game. At this stage in any clubs season for players to be acting like this ... its unreal. Where would you get it ...... in the eL league, thats where.

If you really want to support the club, seemingly Brian Lennox is on Big Red Bench tonight.
I reckon the show should get a loud response from City supporters against that toad Spillane.

Are you well? do you really think Spillane is the issue? we knew about the george transfer rumours BEFORE we left Dublin friday night
concentrate on the facts, and they are, that all is not well in the city camp, so much so Dolan isnt on speaking terms with some players
Yeah, forget about Spillane - focus on the real issues in the club.
Putting all our attention on Spilane would be the kind of diversion you'd expect from Dolan.

True. There can't be smoke without fire. Even Spillage, who i despise, couldn't stoop as low to make up a complete story.

The issues in the club have been made more difficult to manage by irresponsible journalism. And I don't blame just Spillane for that. The Echo has been a bad experience for CCFC on a number of occasions this season.

I was hanging around after the game the last night, and it was George who made a beeline for Spillane and oisin, not the other way around. Newstalk and the echo reported exactly the same story, Spillane made nothing up about Georgie.
Some people here need to distinguish between the message and the messanger

Does any one get the feeling of Deja-Vu here? Split bewteen certain players and manager, players too cowardly to stand up to Dolan.
There is a lot more going on behind closed doors than people are aware of and for this reason people shouldn't take 'sides'.
