AFC Longford Town? Sounds like a new club formed by disgruntled Longford fans disgusted by the original club's soulessness and commercialism.

Sorry for the delay in responding, Dodge - but until we see posts from the club/s, I have no information channel. Some news already in, I see! - but three out of four 3rd round results still to come ...

Twitter says Clontarf. Sheriff play in Fairview Park (according to one website), people are saying that they play on an all weather surface in Alfie Byrne Road (accessed from Clontarf Road) and there are the grass pitches on Alfie Byrne Road. Anyone know anyone in Sheriff YC that could clear up the venue?

@OrielUpdates are still waiting for clarification on the venue.

Can't be the grass pitches, no floodlights. Has to be the all weather.

Sheriff's schoolboy teams play in Fairview Park. I may be wrong but I think their senior team plays in the AUL complex.

It appears to have been confirmed for the artificial pitch on the Clontarf Road. Someone said it was €3 in. I don't know how much space they have for spectators but with it being the first competitive game of the season for Dundalk the crowds could possibly be higher than Sheriff expect.

Guna head up to this and not bother watching Milan/Barca. Thinks theres a few heading from the town as well. Is there much parking about here or do I need to park in the dart station carpark.

Just home from the game. Sheriff can play ball but are filthy off it. plenty of off the ball incidents throughout the game. they got away with everything bar a murder tonight. Anyway, we won and got out of there without any serious injuries.

How are they in the Leinster Senior Cup if they're a Junior club?

GCdfc

The facility provided by Dublin Corporation that Sheriff hired is shocking. It would be grand for a gang of lads wanting to play football for fun but not for a competitive match.

As for the Sheriff team....dirty ba$tards!

3 quid in but plenty stodd behind the cage and just watched through it! Gail force winds made the game very difficult.

Finished 2-1 to UCD, felt they just about deserved it from what I saw!

Pitch was shocking, they could have won by more on a better pitch imho. They have one or two quality players, number 10 was very good, who is he?

Edit: Gary Burke. Why did he leave Bohs? http://www.extratime.ie/player/1235041/gary_burke/

It's the LSC like. Doesn't really matter.

They charged a fiver in I think.

It was only €3 into the match v Sheriff.Thats not the point. This was a senior game played in a cage! We should be raising standards not compraring them to old ones."Shure we played in a field of pure shoite and so should everyone else"
1970's player said.
Anyway....

It's the Leinster Senior Cup though. AFAICS, this is where some LSL teams play their games. (Bangor were playing in someone else'e ground; Crumlin's, I think)

Dodge

Yeah, a bit of an overreaction. Most of the LSL home games don't have lights so they play elsewhere. Does it really matter?

You guys are way out of order.

The Leinster Senior Cup is by far the most prestigious cup competition in these islands. Treat it with the respect it deserves
