Sin City- the comic.
I was an enormous fan of Frank Miller, up until Sin City, bizarrely. I got married and suddenly had no money (Funny how that happens) just as Sin City was taking off. As a result I came in half way through and didn't love it as I expected to. It was... it was OK. It was dark, and funny, and witty, but I didn't quite get it. there's no reason why the film shouldn't be wonderful. ;) Mind you, Miller was involved in the otherwise excreble Robocop II don't forget... :(
