Fixtures out Wednesday so let's hear it.

Remember you can't all play in Thomond Park.*

For my own part I want either Drogheda away (love the ground, nice trip) or Bohs away (the first game in Dalymount will be the day I know we've arrived back in the big time.)

Premier fans only please, I've come around to the FAI's way of thinking and realised that the First Division doesn't infact count. :ball:

*There's every chance we wont be playing in Thomond Park.

I want anyone but UCD, Bray, or Dundalk. I would say no offence but that in itself is offensive. We had UCD away last year (and they deservedly beat us) and while the first game is always exciting but I'd like a game where theres a bit of an edge.

Not Derry away either, I've a feeling I'm going to be a bit broke at the start of the season and could do with that being put off until later in the year. Maybe August!

We have rivalries with most Premier clubs, bar the above and probably Limerick, but I think its likely that a Munster rivalry is about to develop should Limerick maintain their Premier status. I think we're due a home game though and its almost certainly going to be UCD.

I'm hoping for a spin to Thomond after the FAI reject Limerick's application for a premier license :p

I don't care.

I spent half of last season fearing trips to first division grounds.

I think the FAI generally "arrange" these fixtures to try and make them more attractive and maximise crowds. It's a good idea - similar to the way the Irish League have their Boxing Day derby matches.

Drogheda v Dundalk
Sligo v Derry
Pat's v Shels
Cork v Limerick
Rovers v Bohs
UCD v Bray

Can't be too many complaints with that list of games

In the circumstances Limerick v Cork would be a bigger draw imho.

If the fai have any sense I think Limerick v Sligo live on the telly box would be the way to go.

That's being generous. I don' think they would get anywhere near 6625. I'd say about 3000 at most.

We played UCD away last year. We had Wexford at home the year before, Derry away (I'll give you that one) in 2010, Sligo away in 2009, Bray at home in 2008, Waterford away in 2007 (you can have that one too) Drogs in 06 (theyd beaten us in the cup final in 05 but the rivalry was only just beginning then), 2005 Finn Harps

We're not exactly getting a host of glamour games to start the season are we.

It'll be a reverse of last year so these teams will have 17 home; Bohs, Bray, Derry, Dundalk, Limerick, Pats. While these will have 16 home; Cork, Drogheda, Rovers, Shels, Sligo, UCD

Pats will have 2 home games with Bohs, Derry, Drogheda, Dundalk, Shels and Sligo, 1 with Bray, Cork, Limerick, Rovers, UCD.

LImerick taking the Monaghan place in the fixtures.

They'd have 2 home games v Bohs, Cork, Pats, Rovers, Shels and UCD. So one of those 6 will be the first opposition in Thomand

I'd agree, just you said there was no guarantee you'd be playing in Thomond!

Going off topic but is plan B to play in Jackman Park for the season?

I realize it's currently a dump but is developing that not an option?

Well that will be massively disappointing having them at home twice.

5 trips to Dublin not enough for you?

5 trips to Dublin not enough for you?

They are the away trips i was looking forward to most for next season so was hoping would have at least one of them twice. Also means we have to go through the trip to Derry twice which is torture.

If we take Mons place does that mean we will have the same first game as they had so ya?

No, they might mix the order up

If it is the sme your first game will be away to Dundalk. Your first home game would be Rovers

If it's a reverse of last year's fixtures as is being suggested, with Limerick taking the place of Mons, then these will be the first set of games:

Sligo Rovers v Shelbourne
Cork City v U.C.D.
Bray Wanderers v St. Patrick's Athletic
Shamrock Rovers v Drogheda United
Bohemians v Derry City
Dundalk v Limerick

Cork or Shamrock Rovers either home or away. Derry would be about the only away game I wouldn't want first because of the travel.

A three quarters empty stadium. Great ???

All about camera position.

Munster have played cider shield games infront of some shocking (admitedly bigger than we'll get) crowds.

Also love the implication that any other ground they pick would be a heaving sea of passion.

A 9/10ths empty Thomond will look a lot better than most.

This is Irish football we're talking.

THERE IS NO PLAN B.

Terryland would be more realistic than Jackman imo.

I presume if Munster are home, Limerick will be away that weekend, also any idea if Limerick will still play their home games on Friday nights

Salthill at home. The big one. Seriously though, I reckon Athlone at home would be a feisty one to start off with. Hopefully we find out some time before June 2014.

I don't have a particular preference to be honest, just looking forward to going back to games in March.

I would rather have Derry away in the summer as it is an overnighter and I would be more inclined to go to that in the summer when I would have more money for that trip.
