Only spotted now that Galbraith is a two year deal. Good to see we are getting players in for the foreseeable future and not just one season and gone again. Hopefully if Curran is a success we can hold onto him in June.


Contract is up in June im told so that seems to be the plan.

Eventually we seem to be assembling a squad that might be ok afterall. The new players that have come in seem to be well travelled pros, who i would expect that whatever formation is played that they will know their role in it. Also their experience in the long run can only be benefical to the club helping the young players to make a breakthrough into the first team. Would like another 2 players to be signed. Any news on Burns. Is it true that O Brien has been released.

Today but if they are unattached they can sign at anytime as far as I know.

According to Taylor he will have another UK based player signing very soon. Live95 said they expect a couple of more in.

He was left at home to work on his fitness apparently. A guy who was with Folan at Newcastle has been training with them over the weekend, and there's another trialist playing with them tomorrow against Hibs, don't know anything about him other than one of the lads said he'd a giant, 6'5" !!!

He hasn't been with us at all this pre-season. I think he might have trained with Wexford Youths though. One of the lads said something about him having on Facebook that he was finished with ourselves anyway.

It's a pity he got the injury he did. It seemed to take the pace out of his game a bit and he couldn't get the form back that he had.

Derek O Brien is released, Foley is supposed to have signed. Cowpar was training with the first team but hasn't flown to Scotland. Gary Sheehan is gone and Gary Shanahan seems to be training and playing on and off but hasn't gone to Scotland as far as I know.

Cowpar was released, so was O'Brien. Craig Burns is gone back to Waterford, no idea on Shanahan, that guy Patrick who played against Dundee United is coming in over the weekend, and they're looking at the trialist who played the other night against the Oscar trainer team over the weekend.
There's a potentially very strong 10 out of the first 11 there in Ryan, Kelly, ?, Folan, Williams, Gamble, O'Leary, Bradley, Gaffney, Curran, Galbraith. If a few injuries are picked up, then I'd worry.

Looks like the last of Scully's staff is gone from the club. The sports scientist is gone according to twitter. Strange time for someone to be sacked/ leave this early into the season unless he got another job or something?! Can't imagine it'd affect much would it?

Supposedly he only had a one month contract to start with and because there was Shaun Kelly, Nzuzi and Shane Costello all going for right back he went back home again.
