Sometimes you've just got to hold your hands up and say what a goal!
What's the best goal in terms of skill you've seen Ireland concede? I'll start the ball rolling...
It being a murky October day, I'm reminded of another murky October day in Lansdowne 15 (yes 15!) years ago....step forward an ageing gunslinger from eastern Europe....

The first touch was unbelievable! Regardless of Macedonia, we really should have qualified for Euro2000 .....

Thiery Henry at Landsdowne road in a world cup qualifier on 7th September 2005. France won 1.0 which effectively knocked Ireland out.

Yup, Henry at Lansdowne sprung to mind straight away. It was a jaw-dropper. That Andorra goal from the last campaign was pretty special too.
Jimmy Quinn at Windsor Park 93 was a great strike.

Andy reid hit the post that day. That was about all we could muster. We had become so stale under kerr.

Without watching the clip I always remember that goal for the mix up between McGrath and Packie, couldnt recall the finish which was decent in fairness.

The final two matches of the group weren't much better (aside from the last minute of the Cyprus match, which was wonderful for me at least :p) either. Dire performance against Cyprus and a truly awful match in Switzerland. Had we won in Switzerland I believe we would have gone second and had a shot at the playoffs too, though I think we only mustered one real chance the whole match (I think Ian Harte headed wide from an early corner).

Some great clips in fairness.
The one that stood out for me when I read the OP was away to Lithuania (from 50 seconds) -

Only five days earlier, we'd been in Iceland and conceded a very similar goal (from 1:30) -

Did this one take a slight deflection? Still probably one of the best.

Israel away in 2005 was another one.
Austria scored some decent goals against us during the two games in '95, with the first one here probably being the pick :

Bizarrely, I'm fairly sure it's Tony Cascarino. You can just about see the shirt number when he lands, and it starts with a 1. Stan was 11 and was in shot; Cas was 10 so it must be him. So the tallest person on the team managed to duck out of the way!

Weird, I thought it said 10 too but I didn't think it could be him. Strange since his face looks like it has blocked more than its fair share of footballs in the past.

That defeat and the one against Yugoslavia is one of the reasons people of a certain age have a bit of disregard for Mick Mac. We never attempted to match them and sat back for the whole game. I know it's the last minute, but there is no pressure on the centre-half. Kenny, who was very solid for us, looks very poor for this goal. Technique is fantastic.

That's the one I always think of, great player, the John Egan of the Portugal team most underrated player, great goal.

Those goals are nothing alike :-)! The first is terrible, but the Icelandic is a good one to give credit where it's due.

Too much pain in this this thread. There's no thing such as 'memorable stunners' scored against us, though plenty of memorable misses.
Henry's goal at Lansdowne looked spectacular, probably a fluke.

I must say I would have never thought of Rui Costa as being underrated. Outside of Figo he would have probably been the most glamorous Portugese player from the 90's.

I think Given's anticipation could have been better to be honest, it was trademark Henry and the way he opened his body up it was clear where he was going to try to put it. I think the save from the Zidane free kick was a more difficult one.

Both crisp, fizzing drives from the edge of the area? You're sure you're not comparing the Iceland goal to our goal (which was a scramble, but appears first on the video?)

That was Robbie's second appearance or something, wasn't it? I remember the chants of Keano as I left the stadium, Roy having missed the game due to Alex Ferguson. Veron's performance that day is probably the best non-Roy performance I've ever seen in person. Ortega was on another level too. That side could have won the 98 World Cup were it not for Bergkamp.

DeLorean beat me to that Rui Costa effort. Smashing player with a rare elegance to his game. I used to go out of my way to watch him during the 90's & 00's.
Suker's first touch for that goal was God level. He basically smited us.

Looking back, we did seriously well to get out of that one, given the atmosphere and importance of the game a lesser side mentally could have easily folded. It's not often mentioned in the same breath as the likes of Stuttgart, Genoa, Giants Stadium, Ibaraki* or even the Holland game at Lansdowne but it's well up there for me. The night was extra special because we were the only home nation** side to qualify. I don't mean that in an anti-English way either, just gave a greater sense of achievement to the whole thing, plus we had the European Champions in our group, England had previously unfancied Norway topping their group.
*I couldn't remember the name of the place where Robbie got the late equaliser. Kind of sad that Saipan is lodged in the brain more than Ibaraki
**I know, I know
That Croatia game was seriously painful only to be topped a few days later with the Macedonia game. Great touch by Sukur but very poor from a centre half (Cunningham i think) to let a ball from that far away loop over his head.
Forgot about that Iceland game. One of those games where you went from despair to ecstasy to despair to ecstasy etc.
That Ortega goal was some finish.
The French game under Kerr wasnt as poor as the Cyprus and Swiss game that followed. We matched them for most of the night and cancelled each other out. We didnt create much but either did they. The Henry goal was a real sickener. Little did we know what was to come from him.
We seemed to score alot of set piece goals under Mick Mc. Not something we have been so good at of late. God bless the good ole big man up front tactic.

Easier to pull off when you have Ian Harte and Niall Quinn in the side! I think these days Dunne is our only major threat from set pieces, although Sledge does seem to weigh in with more than his build would suggest.

Martinez's goal for Andorra in the last qualifying campaign was a cracker, I thought. First time, edge of the area, top corner. Sweet.

McLoughlin's goal was almost as good as Quinn's technically. The chest-down, the bounce, the left footer from 20 yards. Great win considering the pressure to get a point and also atmosphere at Windsor Park that night.
Was anybody here at WP that night? What was it like? (I was at the Landsdowne pub in the Bronx)
