There was a large number of empty seats in Landsdowne on Saturday especially in the centre of the East Upper and West Lower and since when did the capacity increase to 36,000 from 33,500??? Also George Dempsey was an embarrasment murdering the two songs he sang and as for the Rod lookalike on Guitar what a pair of Clowns.

Not too impressed with the new Kit and the new logo is a joke such a load of s**t in the programme about what it reflects from the head goon himself.

New kit is decent, but I thought perhaps the players were all wearing a size too big.

There were a hell of a lot of people in there that didn't seem to know how to make noise.

Didn't get to hear the stuff before tha match but thought PA guy fine during halftime.

At least the FAI making some effort as its clear people need encouragement to cheer on the team.

Why dod people go to the ground just to sit in silence? Surely its easier & cheaper to do that in front of the big screen at home.

Heard some idot on the radio yesterday complaining about ticket prieces to Lansdowne.

Sure it's only €60 to go to the All Ireland Final.
€30 to see your national team playing a World Cup Qualifier is outrageous! :D

Guy was saying only €20 for Basel compared with €40 at Lansdowne.

I reckon a number of the empty seats were 10 year tickets not taken up again - most expired before saturday.

The touts also took a hammering and apparently were selling at face value 30 minutes before kickoff.

As for the ticket prices well we're certainly dearer than the continent but Dublin is also a much dearer city now - France had a half empty stadium and the Swiss got nowhere near that. We had a sellout so easier to charge more.

I would have complained too seeing as i bought tickets for the swiss game in Basel for €22 (same price for all the ground) while i had to pay €45 (up €8) for west upper tickets and I heard also that the prices for the french game will be increased too on a once off basis.Ticket Price in Landsdowne range from €30 to €60 which is very expensive considering the state of the place.

A few hundred tickets went on sale at the FAI on Friday and not a lot of people found out. That is why it wasn't sold out. :)

i agree that tickets are a bit pricey, i usually sit in the south bucket which has gone from €20 to €30 in about 2 years, i was in the east upper on saturday as my brother got a few free tickets..he worked in the fai for a while..anyway at €45 they are not worth it, sure why don't they just grade ticket prices on the quality of opposition, i mean come on Cyprus at that price is a joke but France at that price is fine

as for drumming up atmosphere the fai should cut out that sh1t, we never had any problems under jack with atmosphere and yes I know it was 50,000 then but us fans will cheer when the teams come out on the pitch and there are exciting passages of play (n.b. - that's why the Bulgaria atmosphere was so quiet because the play was boring), we don't have to be told to have a Mexican wave which is outdated now anyway so thanks stadium announcer but in future shut the f up and stop hurting our ears with these crass pop acts

Well if people aren't willing to pay a few quid to maybe 5 or 6 home games a season then theres little hope for the future.

Of course some of these people will probbaly spend €400-500 travelling to the UK to see "their" club team.
