McGeady - Doh

MY stream is a few minutes behind the betting i was looking at so I knew the game was up when the Ireland odds tripled in size, now out to 42-1 for the win.

Would consider Brady now. McGeady having a very quiet night overall.

George should check his math: 125:64 > 12:4

What a counter-attack. Fahey should not have tried to be so clever up on the right, Germany win it back, break and what a finish.

Great shot in fairness but he had all day to tee it up.

2 nil down & O'Dea can only lump it long despite being under no pressure.
SUB straight away please. Awful.

Fully deserved for Germany. I wonder if they knock in a few more if Trap's position will be in jeopardy?

Simply not good enough.

Worth sticking €10 on it if you want to lose €10.

Ireland may as well go for it now. Does anyone actually care at this stage whether it finishes 0-2 or 0-5.

210-1 available on Ireland winning now :)

That'd be highly optimistic.

Really dissapointed with the last 20 or so minutes after the first 20. Walters, McCarthy, Coleman, Ward doing well, but Cox, O'Dea and McGeady are poor.

Yep, you can get 400-1 now, but in reality we should be 3-0 down.

Working in the US so cant see this unfortunately. Just following the text updates.

Two nil is a disaster however bad one was. In comparision to the Russia home game, is this on a par, worse or better.

Whatever chance of comeback against Russia, there is zero chance here and it will be a shame to see the Aviva emptying with 10 mins to go.

Any more goals and the Aviva will be emptying well before 10 minutes to go.

Need Brady for Cox on left. Long for McGeady - two up front, Fahey wide right.

Remember we turned it round in Kazakhstan!!

Is there anyone out there who still wants us to qualify for Brazil? To get there and play like this? You've gotta be kidding me. No blaming Trap here. The players just don't play football. It's a prehistoric version of the game that we play. We are still in the learning mode. Men against boys here.

I have a horrible feeling the fact Sweden play Germany in their last game at home at a time when Germany will already have qualified, will mean they will finish second in the group above us.

Long for Fahey, how is this working? Back to 442?

From the text updates, seems like Cox or McG were the more likely candidates.

FFS my computer crashed sparing me the 3rd goal, just seen the 4th go in and plenty of time to get a few more.
Could be 6 or 7 nil.

Because he has done reasonably well for us while the centre-back you mention playing in the Premier league was poor in the two games he played for us, albeit playing out of position and obviously didn't impress Trapp or those of us who remember the performances. I hope that answers your query.
Well O'Dea has clearly demonstrated you confidence in him tonight with his 'reasonably well' performance. :shut:

Never turned an Irish match off before but its happened tonight. Gulf in class and all that but no team gets murdered like this in international football these day. Cheers Trappers, enjoy your retirement.

I know we were never great to watch under Trap but at least we could defend but the last few matches we look like conceding every time the opposition cross the half way line.

if our campaign is already doomed, and it certainly feels that way, then (deep breath) it has to be looked at as an opportunity. a blessing in disguise. brady, coleman, mccarthy, long, clark et al should play out the remainder of the campaign to give them the experience.
