Ireland U21 keeper Ian McLoughlin starts for MK Dons for the first time tonight in their league cup tie with Sunderland.

Shaun Williams, Darren Potter and Steven Gleeson line out in midfield for MK Dons while David Meyler, Kieren Westwood and James McClean start for Sunderland.

Looking at the Sunderland team is Meyler playing CB?
They seem to have only one recognised CB in Kilgallon in the line-up...

I don't know. The original BBC announcement suggested he was at right back, but the teamsheet suggests it's Kilgallon and Cattermole (who has just been sent off) in the centre. It's a pity the match isn't on TV. Ireland U21 international John Egan is the centre half on the bench.

This has sneaked under the radar a little. McLoughlin is currently making his third consecutive appearance for MK Dons in place of injured keeper David Martin. He kept two clean sheets before tonight, playing the last five minutes of Saturday's draw with Sheffield United with an ankle injury.
