apologies, shamless (self) promotion

i don't wish to spark another argument about the merits of joining with the North (been there done that) but i'm attempting at the moment to find an audience for our humble documentary .... through regular networks .... but thought a few people here would be interested in checking out some info on the topic

I sincerly hope your film sinks without a trace - it's doing a good job so far. ;)

The reason for my vitriol? See the link. No further comment needed.

bray's finest mad man indeed!

we're currently trying to get those in high places (in rte, tv3 etc ...) interested.

TV3 seem less than enthusiastic. one of their directors was reasonably helpful but he believes their audience has an attention span of no more than 10mins. and our running time is 80mins ...

a contact of ours at RTE sounds reasonably interested, but we're still waiting on some concrete response

failing all that, check out the boot of a car or the website

thanks for the feedback, great to know there is an interested audience out there

***sorry, the image gallery flicker was "borrowed" from the bbc, and doesn't seem to work with some browsers. must make amends

Excellent presentation - put it onto dvd & we will all buy it!

Cant believe the tv3 guys attitude - anyone interested in football would be happy to sit through 80 minutes of a documentary as well made as this seems to be - a 10 minute segment would only whet our appetites!

Pass on our comments to them - it cant do any harm.

Beaver, all issues and fears you speak of are dealt with seriously in the doc, from both sides of the divide ... and all help to contribute to the bigger picture in a constructive manner.

this is not a 32county gung-ho approach to the issue ...

but Pat Devlin and the seagulls, now there's a story that needs to be told

Before I go nyah nyah nyah-nyah-nyah to the lot of youse, was anyone else here actually at that All-Ireland XI v Brazil match? There's times when being ancient has its upside! :)

Get the production sorted and it would be great. Even if that means making copies yourself, go for it. I'd guess clubs shops around the country might be interested in stocking it.

Well done in the way it has been put together. It's creators obviously know their stuff when it comes to film-making. However, I'm very much against the idea. I hope it doesn't take off for the simple reason that I don't want people thinking that an all-Ireland 11 is the way forward. It would be disastrous for those of us in the Republic. The North have nothing to contribute to our team. Also, we could end up with a scenario where Ireland games are played in Belfast. This would be utterly unacceptable to real fans of the Irish team. I could go on but I won't. Scrap the idea and make a documentary on the treatment of Brayzil FC by Pat Devlin and his Bray Wanderers FC. It might not get on TV either but it would be a more legitimate production.

If you're having trouble getting it on TV, have you thought about a small scale cinema release ? not joking, I'm sure there's someone somewhere in the Irish Film Institute that would be interested in showing it. Maybe even a screening like that would generate some interest from the TV companies who are not too enthusiatic at the moment ? From the response here, I don't think you'd have too much trouble filling the place.

Brayzil ! legend of a team.

They were supposed to hook up with Bray Wanderers and wear the same gear and play some matches at the carlisle but the League they where in wouldnt let them.

What's wrong with games being played in Belfast? There's more of Ireland than the free counties you know.
