Just wondering is it just for the rest of the season or what? I know he is doing Champions League so could have time taken up with that for a bit, but is he gonna be back next year? It wasn't much of a send off if it was his last show (http://www.rte.ie/player/#!v=10053203).

He's gone I heard from some people inside RTE. Took a redundancy.

Very good at his job and was also interested in the LoI, wish him all the best.

Yea, I heard he left RTE under voluntary redundancy package currently on offer. May pop up again on programmes produced by outside production companys.

Despite his hoop allegiance I thought he done a very good job and was always very upbeat about the league. The fact that he had a genuine interest in the League came across on MNS.

Best of luck to him, he did a great job.

I saw that on Facebook, seemed very low key. Hopefully he keeps working in LOI journalism.

Pat Dolan is a clown....Shamrock rovers should have a 20,000 all seater.

"Mark Quigley gas re-invented himself this season"

Dolan obviously was watching him last season

Dolan talks some waffle. Ah sure clubs should invest in huge stadiums when we can hardly stay afloat as it is and when our already small stadiums can hardly come close to being filled. Also we should only go part time when Real Madrid do. Get him of the couch.

A agree that the grounds should be improved but clubs are running on the smallest of budgets as it is and the type of stadiums he is talking about is just out of the question, we would end up with huge empty grounds on match nights.

Con Murphy announced in last weeks show that it was his last. I thought he was great, showed a great interest in the Lge and knew of all the players.

Just to add, i thought Con was unbiased in his presentation, don't think anyone can deny that. Played a blinder for LOI it has to be said, and it will be hard to replace him, which is bad news for LOI fans.

I agree, if anything he gave less time to Shamrock Rovers than they merited. Peter Collins is a good presenter but he is not a L.O.I fan. I noticed over the years where he has been covering games where he has got players names wrong. Con Murphy will be missed.

Don't like Peter Collins to be honest. His presentation style seems way too forced. Con will most definitely be missed, a great presenter and a genuine LOI fan.
I just hope whatever permanent replacement they get is a similarly interested league fan.

I actually thought Collins did pretty well last night.

Pat Dolan on the other hand is an absolute clown. You can choose success or you can choose to fail- maybe. What you can't choose is ton have the necessary finance for a 20000 seater stadium and a professional team fall out of the fecking sky.

Best of luck Con.... we’ll miss the cheezey grin
Collins was ok last night but he would probably have the same enthusiasm presenting a darts competition. Not a real LOI fan.

Agree with everything said about Pat Dolan above

I heard Con is going to be working for Rovers now. Any truth in that? I presume it would be some sort of commercial or communications role.

Con was a great host. As has already been said, his enthusiasm for the league really came across. Will be missed.

Sad to see him go. As others said, he was a genuine LOI fan and that came across in the show. Could have sworn someone in the 'farewell segment', mentioned something about working with Rovers...

Griffins straight red for Dundalk maybe merited a yellow for having the elbow a bit a high but was never a straight red.

Graham Kelly gets it wrong AGAIN (Remember his non pen decision in the Shels v UCD match? He gave a free kick outside the box for a handball that was clearly inside the box!
