Drogheda 7/2 against Pats must be the most tempting bet in there.

Really? Ye's are going very well in the League, thought that'd be the main concern.
The Cup is all we've got left at this stage. Should be handy enough tonight with Mervue, though we thought the same last season before Wexford put us out. A couple of early goals would be in order to kill the game nice and quickly.
Would actually love to be watching Pats-Drogs. Think that'll be a fascinating game.

Pats fans don't really think logically about the cup at the best of times.
But in reality this is our ony hope of winning somthing this year, so its a big game

Possibly a lot of Dundalk fans (myself included) are still a little in shock that we have somehow reached the semi final, and we are now in the 'uncomfortable' position of possibly hoping Drogs win their replay so they can join us in the last four.........mmmm now that would indeed be tasty seeing them off....
The players who couldn't be arsed under Kenny amazingly couldn't be arsed under his assistant.
Now there's a surprise.

Now that we're gone, im hoping for an all Louth affair in the final. No particular favourite but if Dundalk won it would be a nice way for youse to say goodbye to Irish football.

Mental oul stuff at the Brandy tonight.
7 goals, been quite a while since we scored that many. A record for the cup quarter-final perhaps?
Patrick McEleney with our third, scored from inside the centre circle. Incredible.
Although he's overshadowed by Mark Farren. Scored a hatrick and takes the record as our top LoI goalscorer. What a man.

Just like Bohs, Drogheda, Cork, Derry etc wouldn't die, neither will we.

Dundalk fully deserved the win. the sweeper in front of the back 4 ( no 6) pretty much won every tackle he went in for. Good free kick from Griffin for the goal, didnt think it was a foul though.
Doesn`t augur well for Dundalk, the last time they beat us in the cup they got relegated and spent 5? years in the first division.
Good luck anyway, hopefully you play and beat Derry in the final.

But will there be a first division next season? I wouldn't worry.
Saying that I hope we get them in the semi.

Mark Farren gets a mention on F365;
Final Word On The Weekend
This column may be focused on the Premier League, but the story of the weekend occurred in Ireland where Mark Farren became Derry City's all-time leading goalscorer after bagging a hat-trick in the 7-1 FAI Cup quarter-final win over Mervue United. Farren's achievement in usurping Liam Coyle, who famously left Carles Puyol on his arse when Derry played Barcelona at the Brandywell in 2003, is particularly special considering he previously retired from the game after it was discovered that he had a brain tumour. His recovery from illness and return to full fitness is a remarkable story, made complete by the 30-year-old's record-grabbing performance on Friday.

Mark Farren also selected as Goal.com's 'World Player of the Week': http://www.goal.com/en-ie/news/3908/main/2012/09/17/3382539/world-player-of-the-week-mark-farren-derry-city
Back in 2010 it seemed unlikely that Mark Farren would ever play football again after the Derry City forward was forced to undergo brain surgery, but just two years on from that traumatic period, his fairytale return was complete on Friday night.
As his side demolished Mervue United 7-1 in the FAI Cup, the 30-year-old scored a superb hat-trick, which took his tally at the Brandywell Stadium to 113 goals, and saw him break the club's all-time scoring record previously held by the legendary Liam Coyle.
Honourable mentions to Messi and Neymar.
Fair paly to whoever the Irish rep on Goalis, he always gets his spoke in. Forrester and at least one other player has been mentioned this seaons in the player of the week (Zayed too)

Yeah just the little matter of an away match in Dundalk and a possible meeting with Derry then in the final to get through first.
What odds on the 'other cup final' pairing of Dundalk & Shels ?
Point is, all 4 have will fancy their chances, who knows how it will work out.

Derry are the only team left I wouldn't particularly mind winning it. Funny the difference geography makes :p
