still strong squad despite absentees. i'd take a point.
Switzerland too have absentees. Manager Kobi Kuhn has named a much-depleted squad for their games against Ireland and the Faroe Islands. Stephane Chapuisat, Fabio Celestini, Alexander Frei and Jorg Stiel are all missing from the squad that pipped Ireland to qualification for the European Championships in Portugal this summer.
Ireland play Cyprus on September 4 and then Switzerland in Basel on September 8.
