It was perhaps unsurprising that Paul Cooke got off to an indifferent start in Lancashire, having joined mid-season over there, but in their first two games of this season, Stanley have got off to a flier - defeating Southend on Saturday and currently leading Port Vale, with Sheppard and Amond marking the goals.

I know it's not the best standard in the world, but it's a bit harsh dumping it into Women's Football?

Accrington are not a bad little side. I'd say skill-wise, not much between them and most LOI clubs.

No. It's in the Kilkenny section like it's always been.

After a bright start, Accrington slid down the table to currently lie 16th, but Cook has arguably improved his lot by being appointed Chesterfield boss (http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19883479), they certainly would have a greater footballing tradition, honours list and financial clout than Stanley. Even allowing for the impact Boco and Amond have made in League Two though, things can only improve for the Liverpudlian.
