Few of the ads today for dating sites have been a little risque, happening to anyone else?

well, a few times today I've been offered ads for mature ladies seeking relationships with younger gentlemen, and ladies from the far East seeking fun, friendship and maybe more
Not that there's anything wrong with that, I'm even somewhat flattered, but it's not thing kind of thing I want my manager seeing me looking at.

And it's a little bit annoying that in order to add my tuppence worth to the OP that I had to allow the ads, since the appeal conceals the user name and password boxes. Now, if they're only mildly annoying at home, they're downright intrusive at work (which being a further ed college is a largely female, open plan environment). I can't run the risk of offending a room full of women!!!

EG, there's an add embedded in your post stating "click here for a FREE Introduction to Thermography Principles book".

You boring old fart.

While I accept some of them are a bit crap, I'm not so sure about risque. You could - and probably do - get them on any site tbh, they're bog standard AdSense fare.

I didn't realise the appeal blocked the topnav, I'll see about getting that moved.

You fool! Don't you realise that I'm really hot stuff? Click on the link and you, too, could learn how to unleash your own inner heat. Mmm-hmm...;)

Adam, thanks in advance for resolving the topnav. I'm sure that many of my female colleagues have 50 Shades in their bedside lockers, but retain the right to be shocked and scandalised by online dating ads nonetheless!!

Meh. Ad-blocker. Works a right treat. Although I get a big green yoke at the top of the screen telling me 'This is an advertising supporting site. Please disable your ad blocking software on Foot.ie'
Yeah right ;P

Thanks for your support nigel-harps1954. It's thanks to the people that do click the occasional ads on Foot.ie, and our subscribers, that Foot.ie is still here after more than a decade.

Ive been getting worried about this for a while now.

Especially as i work in IT like yourself tets and everyone knows about cookies, sessions, non-sessions, and ip-address storing. Today i was cuagh on the site with the ad for mature ladies in revealing outfits. To which everyone assumed automatically it was tracking my browsing and googles ad sense or whatever was displaying what i would normally look at in my own time. It was rather embarassing to have to explain that its randmon - in this instance - and not my prefferred site viewing.

And god forbid you ever get a virus on your computer. You must have been looking at all sorts of porn. And not just any porn, the weirder the porn. the worse the viruses!

I (stupidly) picked one up a while back. I think while trying to stream some of the Olympics. Not a chance I'm convincing my flatmates I wasn't looking up German midgets and dirty Japanese drawings!
