Fabien Barthez (Marseille), Gregory Coupet (Lyon); Eric Abidal (Lyon), Jean-Alain Boumsong (Rangers), Patrice Evra (Monaco), William Gallas (Chelsea), Gael Givet (Monaco), Bernard Mendy (Paris Saint Germain), Sebastien Squillaci (Monaco); Alou Diarra (Lens), Claude Makelele (Chelsea), Benoit Pedretti (Marseille), Robert Pires (Arsenal), Jerome Rothen (Paris Saint Germain), Patrick Vieira (Arsenal), Ludovic Giuly (Barcelona); Djibril Cisse (Liverpool), Thierry Henry (Arsenal), Peguy Luyindula (Marseille), David Trezeguet (Juventus).
The defence is pretty much untested at this level but the midfield and forward line is daunting!

On good thing is they can't play 4 great forwards in the same team. defense has a bit of the "who are ya..." about it.

No Nantes players? They must still be recovering from messing their shorts when Dolyer put us one up....:)
Holland played Hasslebank, Van Chergar, Kliuvert and Van Hoidonk (sp?) in one game against us and did score, that was with Richard Dunne in the heart of the defence so I wont be worrying about the French.

Lads Just cause you dont know about somebody as in they have not played in the premiership and they play in the french league does not mean they wont be good. The manager used to be the U21 he knows all the players really well. Sound Familier. To be honest mention Andy Reid, Kevin Kilbane, Liam Miller, Andy O Brien, Clinton Morrison to any French fan and they may reply

No Silvestre or Mexes. You'd think with the 3 defenders after retiring Silvestre would have thought he was guaranteed a place in the team, never mind the squad.

All I said was that they were untested at this level.
I was hoping Silvestre would be in there because he's useless and would have been a nice week link for Reid to exploit if we played him on the right.
Whether or not they give Boumsong a game at this early stage hes an absolute class act. Going to make a major move by the end of the season prob down to the premiership.
