ok its only a few days away and i hope the atmosphere and tension is building in de town, cause this is a very very special day for us. Not only are we 80 years old this year, not not is this our 4th national final in 4 years, but we are playing it in the Flansiro......many many light years away from the dark days in abbeycarton.

so go on grab mate and bring them along to the game and lets make this a night to really remember, clintching a national trophy on our home ground.

one other little point, i have never and prob will never be a member of Section O, but for monday nights game i'm putting on the protective gear and making my way over with a mate ( yes i do have a friend and its not patrick j ;) ) and maybe some others from this site should too, i know the lads reallly want to be heard on monday.

oh and i'll have my carema with me taking some shots so lets get the flags and the colour out for all to see.......

anyway roll on monday and a night to remember.....and it the words of bowie "they could be heros, just for one day"

Ahhhh, there was me thinking that the Section O was safe in the hands of the next generation.

Looks like Pauro and myself will have to return from our self enforced exiles!

If my bad luck continues on the job front, might just have to de-exile myself!!!! waiting on results of a bar job this morning. Pray for me.

another thought, seeing baz lifting the cup in landsdown was an amazing feeling for me personally, but if he could lift a cup in the flansiro in front of a home crowd, that would be something very special.....can't fcukin wait for monday night :ball: :ball: :ball: :ball: :ball:

I cant wait either! Bohs should bring a great crowd because realistically, this is the only thing they can win!!! Hope the locals will also come out and make it a great night. PREDICTION: Longford to win on penalties!!!

Obviously i would like to be 3-0 up after 60 minutes :) but i can see penalties coming, not that i would look forward to them! I think we are very evenly matched with Bohs

yeah sean was out in flancare yesterday doing a light work out, sorry but dempsey has really impressed me in any game he has played in this year....good keeper and best of luck to him tonight.

he certainly didn't do us any harm tonight. thought his kicking was excellent, almost always hit his man, and even if he was a bit too cool he did a great job.

Yep, full marks to Mick, excellent display from him, his save at the end was excellent. Great night for LTFC, some might scoff (Rico  ) that its only the League Cup but it's a national competition and its our second sucessive senior trophy, well done the lads! By the way great to see over 4,500 people packing Flancare, I wish it was like that every week.
