Leinster played there on Saturday (by the time you see this I'm sure others will have responded...I'm on the 5 post/5 day thingy).

Great strike. Defence went to sleep. Millien allowed chest down unmarked with 5 defenders around.

According to Extratime, the water sprinklers were turned on in the half of the pitch that Sligo were doing their pre-match warm -up. Really needed that after a night of torrrential rain. Players slipping all over the place now. Presumably SDCC are responsible for this waste of a public utility, as it couldn`t possibly be hoop inspired gamesmanship

Half time analysis from the East stand. Rovers started well with middle 4 playing very narrow and Finn and McCabe finding space. Sligo adjusted their shape to tighten up the centre, Quigley dropped deeper, and suddenly Rovers couldn't keep the ball and had no width. Sligo were happy to let the Rovers full backs take the ball out wide because they were both atrocious and generally just gifted it back to them. Ventre commanding the middle of the park with Millien looking sharp up front and Quigley, Ndo and Boco showing flashes of quality. Too easy for the Sligo centre backs and Ross Gaynor at left back should be the obvious weak point but Rovers haven't got McCabe out running at him at all. Decent game. Restless home crowd.

Thought Finn's goal took a deflection there but they all count, quality game.

Excellent game in Tallaght tonight. Generally games between us are. Draw a fair result on the end. We were the better team in the first half but Shams were much improved in the second half.
Two great goals. Thought Finn should have gotten man of the match. McGuinness was our best player
Keeps Shams at arms length so certainly a better result for us.

Great night for us. Need to capitalise now tho.
On Friday night Drogs play Shams and Rovers are away to Shels
Then on Monday. Shams have no game while Drogs have a tough trip to Cork
We play Bray on Friday and then Dundalk on Monday. 2 games we have to be winning if we have any title aspirations.
Great game in Tallaght alright, but not much goalmouth action.
Quigley was a strange choice for MOTM since Ventre, Milien, Ndo, Finn, Rice, Jansson would be all ahead of him. He really faded out of the game dramatically in the second half. Surprised he stayed on instead of Milien.
Stunning save by Jansson undoubtedly the turning point as at 0-2...it could've been out of sight. Not as many there as Shels earlier in the season but close, around 5,000.

Really good game overall. Sligo played a really high tempo pressing game in the first half and I think they struggled a bit to maintain it as Rovers lifted their game in the second half. Sligo obviously happy enough with a draw too so I'd imagine at half time they decided to sit back a bit more. Though there was a good handball shout before the ball broke out to Finn for his goal, I was right in line with it and although it was close to him the defender definitely put his hand out. I though Rogers was probably unsighted for Finn's goal but it was a great strike.

Good result for a mid-table team against the league leaders. Shams look as if they'll push for the last Europa spot or Setanta at worst.
Sick after last night, deserved something from the game but if you don't take your chances there's every chance of a mugging and that's exactly what happened.
Nice finish from Fagan, pockets picked, there's a tabloid headline in there somewhere.

Odd the way the camera shakes when the picture cuts to a shot of our fans in the crowd after Quigleys goal. Especially when we werent even in that stand.
A goal so good it made the earth move.
NICE.

Funny to see Shams giving out the wrong tickets to a lot of people last night. Not long ago Shams fans were crying on here about the same thing happening in the Showgrounds and saying how we were up to some dodgy stuff.

I paid cash on the gate and got no ticket in return but I'm sure they are putting a bit away to pay off Kenny under the table. It would explain the 3500 attendance given when it clearly was higher. I have to say the bitterness and pettiness shown by Shams club officials towards Rovers fans was pathetic but not unexpected.
