The Republic of Ireland U-21's are coming back to Sligo as they take on Turkey in the Showgrounds on Tuesday 14th August, kick-off 7:30pm. This is a must win game for Noel King's side as victory will assure them of a play-off spot while still giving them a chance to qualify automatically as one of the best runners-up.

Tickets cost €10 for adults and €5 for U-16's and are available from the ticket office in the Showgrounds from 4pm - 8pm every week day.

All but one of the U-21 international matches which have been played in the Showgrounds have been sell-outs so supporters are advised to get their ticket fast and be a part of what could be another special night for Irish football.

Republic of Ireland U21 Squad: Ian McLoughlin, Aaron McCarey, John Egan, Greg Cunningham, Gavin Gunning, Rob Kiernan, Shane Duffy, Niall Canavan, Jeff Hendrick, Adam Barton, Conor Henderson, Richie Towell, Conor Clifford, Samir Carruthers, Eunan O'Kane, Robbie Brady, Aidan White, Aaron Doran, Sean Murray, Sean Scannell, Rhys Murphy, James Collins

Can I get a ticket over the phone and have sent to me?I don't know if Ticketmaster will be selling them, they have a page up for it but not available yet http://www.ticketmaster.ie/event/180048FF02A05E7F?artistid=1123642&majorcatid=10004&minorcatid=741

But if you give Sligo Rovers a call (071-9171212 between 10am and 2pm usually) they might be able to sort you out, if not post it they can probably hold it for you to collect on day of the match.

Poor Irish performance. Turks were better, quicker than us with eleven players and even better with ten.

Wasn't at this game, but what was so poor about the performance? Did we create many chances?
I'm curious particularly as to why King didn't make a change until very late in the game, if it was so bad.

Muhammet Demir is an absolute nut. Pulls down Cunningham for a free and then when he's on the ground gives him two knees to the side. Obvious red but Muhammet disagrees by then pushing the ref and having to be restrained by Turkish players/coaches. Character.

We did create a couple of chances through Cunningham and Collins but we lacked urgency and didn't move the ball quickly enough (in comparison to Turkey). I thought Collins was isolated up front. Our two central midfielders never controlled the game.

McLoughlin and Cunnignahm were the pick of the irish.

I can only assume that King was satisfied to take a draw and that is why he didn't make changes until late in the game.

Is there a reason Joe Mason wasn't named in the squad? Especially with Rhys Murphy pulling out I thought Joe would be called up.

Mason is on the bench tonight for Cardiff
