His point on CL qualification: is he implying this will benefit the WHOLE league as opposed to just the club that (eventually) makes the breakthrough?

We need to create a professional top division here, all the European stuff should just be a bonus to that...

[begin rant]

In one line hes says the ko date for next season has been set for 8th June & on the next one he says the clubs are likely to postpone due to irelands involvement in the WC.

The actual truth is the ko date is provisionally in for that weekend of the 8/9th & the clubs have to decide next monday on the official date & how many games to play.

Maybe i'm being a bit picky but Phillip Quinn comes across as a journo with distain for the eL & only in the job to get to see the international matches. Most other papers have different journos for the league & internationals.
