Irish Refs get Major Assignments

MANY of Ireland's leading referees have been assigned to top UEFA club and international games over the coming weeks. Alan Kelly will take charge of next week's UEFA Champions League 3rd Qualifying Round 1st Leg between Hapoel Kiryat Shmona v Neftchi in Haifa, Israel. His assistants will be Damien MacGraith and Marc Douglas with Graham Kelly as fourth official.

The same team has been assigned to the international friendly between Norway and Greece in Oslo on August 14 (With a local fourth official). Neil Doyle will also be leading a team of Irish officials for two major games in the coming weeks. On August 9 Neil will be joined by assistants Allen Lynch and Dermot Broughton and fourth official Padraigh Sutton for an as yet unconfirmed UEFA Europa League 3rd Qualifying Round 1st Leg match.

How in God's name does Marc Douglas always get involved in these games. He's the worst official in the league and that's saying something!!

Disagree with that. Didnt do much wrong that ive seen even for a matchs between Drogheda and Dundalk for which i was initially was worried about with him being from Drogheda (albeit went to school in Dundalk). He is much more annoying when not running the line and out and about....
