It's not that long of a journey and it's a plesant trip to a very nice stadium so if you're interested text liam on 0876141926 - names must be in by tomorrow night.

Kirbs, Colly James and Mark Salmon all suspended for this one. I think James misses the Limerick game too due to bookings. Better hope Gillespie is back.

This is potentially bigger than the Limerick game because a slip up here would really kill the lads confidence and without doubt kill our title hopes...If Gillespie is back I think he will lift the entire team in the other lads absence....If he misses out we could have a problem with such an inexperienced midfield. Despite SD being bottom they have some very hand and well experienced players.

As long as we get a result it doesnt matter who's there because from what I'm hearing we will have a huge crowd down in Limerick next week.....As long as we win tonight that is! CMON DE TOWN

Waterford drew at home to Harps. Limerick beat Athlone. So no thanks necessary for our dear neighbours.

More like FU athlone 2 more minutes is all we asked for!
Great win for the lads have to say I got a bit worried at 3-1 because with us anything is possible but was very comfortable in the end and I hope we can get a huge crowd down to Limerick if we can't do it 4 this game wel never get a good away crowd anywhere, Cmon De Town!

About 50 Town fans I'd say, all spread out around the ground. We played seriously well for the first 45, we seemed extremely fired up and were chasing everything down. 2nd half we took our foot off the gas, although we could easily have still scored a few more as we cut through their defence at will when we wanted to. The goal we gave away was shocking stuff from Hyland by the way, dropping a routine high ball into the box.

50 town fans? Jesus that's good if we got that in Galway we should be well able to better it for such a big game this Friday!

I'd find it very hard to believe that there was 50 town fans there, unless your counting players and officials?I counted less then 20 in the away stand and from talking to someone who was on the other side of the ground he said there was only a handful so your talking 30 at the very most.
Either way it was a good win, Salthill were awful though and we should have won by more. All our chances seemed to come from crosses and we relied on their absolutely awful defending, we had very few chances from playing it through the middle. Going in 3 up at half time we should have just went for it and tried to notch up some more goals to help our goal difference, instead we let them come into it more and the game just fizzled out in the second half. Also Hylos mistake for the goal was awful, went up for a high ball and then just literally dropped it allowing one of the Galway lads to just knock it into an empty net.

Yeah after I posted I said to myself that 50 was an overestimation, laziness got the better of me though and I wasn't bothered editing it. 30 probably a more realistic figure.

I wouldn't be too harsh on Hylo lads he has been outstanding this season probably the best keeper we've had for a long time. He was MOTM in Limerick so hopefully if required on Friday more of the same.
Oh i'm not being harsh on Hylo at all,I think he's been great for us this season and has saved us a number of times. Just pointing out that it was a bad mistake and hopefully wont happen in a bigger game that will cost us..

Every keeper has so many crucial mistakes in a season, the higher you go up the leagues the less mistakes you will see. Hylo has made 3 mistakes I can recall this season VS Harps @home and away and then the other night but for a 1st division goalkeeper 3 mistakes is'nt bad at all especially when you compare it to the saves he's made this season.

As I already said I wasnt having a go at Hylo, he made a mistake which was a particularly bad one and I mentioned it, he was also extremely lucky in the first half when he was caught off his line with a poor enough chip and just about got his hand to the ball and it hit off the crossbar, im not saying he is prone to mistakes, just pointing out that we could have easily conceded two extremely soft goals against a team that showed no real attacking threat to us otherwise. Just pointing out what happened in the game for anyone reading that wasnt there.
Hylo is an extremely good shot stopper but is less effective in claiming the ball in the air but he is still a great keeper...
