Just when you think soccer in England has reached the depths of commercialism, along come Cardiff City's new Malaysian owners. Not only do they change the home shirt from blue to red, they then alter the club crest by replacing the bluebird with a red dragon, presumably attempting to promote the team as the "national club" of Wales. The fans have decided to hold back on forming a splinter club, partly out of hope of reversing the decision, but also because any new club may have to enter the Welsh pyramid. Presumably, the only winners in this fiasco will be the Cardiff Blues Celtic League side?
