Think its about time there was a thread on this!
Massive game tomorrow, especially after waterford winning tonight!
Wont be easy tomorrow, especially if we play like we did in the first half against Mervue! Be interesting to see if Cousins starts with McDonagh he looked decent last week.. Hopefully we try and keep the ball down and play kirbs in the middle from the start, and use our pacy left side to good effect.
Going for a close win for the home side, another 2-1...

Pretty much agree with all that. Didn't see the match last week obviously but sounds like McDonagh could be a useful addition. We should have enough going forward to win the game provided we don't do anything stupid at the back. It'd be nice to have that four point cushion again.

Ye same here pretty much can't fault either of those comments. What I'm most looking forward to however is what will hopefully be a good crowd and a cracking atmosphere, cmon de town

Can see this being a draw or narrow win these seem to be just a bit behind the top 3 and we were lucky down in Lissywollen. Should be a good crowd I'd say 150 Athlone and 650 Longford.

They barely had 150 at their home game against us, so I doubt they'll have that here tonight.
We'll win I think. Hopefully. Maybe.

^ simple as that really we just can't finish! The only positives from last night was our 2 new signings look good and there was a good crowd I'd say around 700 but what a wasted oppurunity to go 4 clear. 1 more slip up could be a fatal one......Not only are Limerick now only 2 behind Waterford who we play in 2 weeks are only 6 behind so if we were to balls up next week Waterford could be coming to flancare to go level/ahead of us.....Time to forget about Millwall and United and concentrate 100% on a very very tough away trip next week.
The formation was all wrong last night we played a 4-3-3 with Shaw out on the wing? Shaw is not a winger and all
our threat is coming down the left we have no width down the right unless Colly pushes on all the time. I honestly think Keith Gillespie could play much higher up against team like Athlone as we are expected to win and control the midfield so really there's no need for him to hold the centre i think there's a lot more in him if he pushes on a bit.

Personally I hate the 4-3-3, were way too narrow, its the same every game, and yeah Shaw out on the right made very little sense to me, agreed on Keith also, the one or two times he did attempt to make a forward pass we nearly got goals out of them.. Willo looks like our best defender already.

Also I don't think we are seeing the best of salmon in this system.
