Delegate Meeting and Special General Meeting
A Delegate meeting will be held on this coming Monday night July 16th at 7pm at Mounthawk Park to be followed at 8.30pm by a Special General Meeting which is being held to update the Rule Book, to include changes made at recent AGM’s. It is possibly the most important meeting in recent times so all clubs are asked to ensure they have their full compliment of delegates present. Clubs will received the proposed rule updates and necessary changes during the week by post.

Anyone got info on any new singings by teams for the coming season or if players have left clubs. I have heard that Kevin Mccarthy has moved from Tralee Dynamos to Listowel Celtic . St Brendans Park have lost David Conway who emigrated to Canada. Have also heard that Joe Sheehy could be moving to England so would be a big loss for Dingle Bay Rovers if this is true.

Tralee dynamos were in the Kerry league aswell last season and played in division 1B (4th division ) and gained promotion to division 1A for this season . They will be too strong for nearly every team in that division and should easily gain promotion again this season .

What a joke to put Dynamos in the 3rd division. Everyone knows that they should be in the Premier A. The FAI scraped the A championship and now Dynamos have to go back and take the position of their B team in Kerry junior soccer. The best thing for eveyone was to but Dynamos back into the top division where they belong full stop. The Kerry league are punishing them because they promoted the game in Kerry and gave players in Kerry a chance to play LOI soccer. From what I know players from most of the big clubs played for them in the LOI as the represented the county. Sad..

Kerry League starts this weekend with 6 divisions and nearly 60 teams, but only 17 matches being played. Not a great start to the new season .Premier A has 4 matches, Premier B has 2 matches, Division 1A has 3 matches, Division 1B has 2 matches while both Division 2A and 2B had 3 matches each. Probably over 20 teams not playing on the first weekend.

From what I know " .......its obvious from your previous posts that you are a Dynamos fan and know a bit about the ins and outs of the club . Personally I think that Dynamos belong in the top flight but I think they made a big mistake years ago pulling out their Premier A team instead of their Second team in the Kerry District league especially as the FAI announced that the A Championship was coming to an end . Hopefully Dynamos can maybe refocus and plan for long runs in the FAI and Munster Junior cups and keep their ambition and re apply for the LOI next year again.

A good result is right culloty82 , seemed comfortable in this game and played last half hour with ten men . Think they could fancy themselves in next round away to tile king off the cork business league but after that teams might be too strong . Hope I'm proven wrong tho and they go all the way .

Carrig Celtic ( Desmond league) have given up home advantage on Sunday in the FAI junior cup first round and are travelling to Tralee to play St Brendans Park on Thursday night instead . Strange decision I think . Anyone hear any reasons why they switched it

Dingle Bay play in the top division off Kerry soccer. Last season they finished 4th after winning promotion the season before . They went as far as the last 32 in the FAI last year . This year they have played two games under new management and have lost both . 2-1 away to classic Fc and 3-1 at home to Killarney Celtic . Can be a very good them if they have all there gaa footballers but struggle without them. Normally wear red and blue stripped jerseys ( like barca) .

Dingle Bay play in the top division off Kerry soccer. Last season they finished 4th after winning promotion the season before . They went as far as the last 32 in the FAI last year . This year they have played two games under new management and have lost both . 2-1 away to classic Fc and 3-1 at home to Killarney Celtic . Can be a very good them if they have all there gaa footballers but struggle without them. Normally wear red and blue stripped jerseys ( like barca) .

Carrig will feel unlucky as they did play very well but I think st Brendan's just about derserved the win .
St Brendan's dominated possession for first 30 mins but failed to do anything with it . Then just before half time carrig scored a cracking goal from 25 yards out after a lovely passing move . St Brendans got back into the game from a deserved penalty 5 minutes into the second half . From here on it was all st Brendan's with the scoring chances which they wasted on numerous occasions missing 4 one on ones . Carrig seemed happy trying to hit on the counter attack and nearly win it in the 85th minute but for a great save from the st Brendans keeper .
St Brendan's started the Xtra time the better and took the lead 5 minutes into it when their Center midfielder broke through going past 5 players before driving the ball to the roof off the net . Carrig from here on threw everything forward but just couldn't get the equaliser . Over the game I think st brendans deserved the win just for the amount off ball they had and chances they created . Both teams should do well in their respective leagues looking at these performances .
Another note from this game was the amount off offside decisions given . It must surely have been in the twenties if not higher . When u have teams who play fast football it is nearly always guess work from the match referee without assistants .
