Lads, how are you dealing with appearances agianst Monghan this year?

I'm inclined to keep them in for club purposes.

Its the difference on whether a player makes his 100th appearance on friday or not for Pats

If Danny Norths goal is being chalked off? or any goal for that matter. Id say appearences prob would be too.

But yellow cards count.

I'm keeping them in for club records

Jesus thats a good question now isnt it! Love how the FAIlure keep the cards included they just love to suspend players and fine clubs dont they! If they were to remove the yellows theyd have to give clubs back the fines money

I know from my experience when doing the club stats for 2006 I excluded goalscorers and club appearances against Dublin city but I suppose each to its own I suppose.

One stats agency I know of have removed all stats from the games that involved Monaghan.

The FAI's policy is a bit conflicting - disciplinary records against them count but goals don't! Not too sure about the logic.

Officially once matches are expunged from the records they 'never happened'. Results, appearances, goals all wiped, don't ask me why yellows and reds remain, might be in FIFA's rulebook somewhere?

Anyway FAI stats centre has deleted all Monaghan results so I take that as official - http://inform.fai.ie/Statsportal/Competitions.aspx

Personally, while not perfect either, I would prefer if all results stand and the remaining fixtures are forfeited 3-0.

I'd imagine the decision is equivalent to the two Vatican priests in Father Ted discussion upgrading the Holy Stone of Clonrichert to a Class II relic:

"What about the Holy Stone of Clonrichert?"
"Whatever."
