If either of them were worse than James McKell at Jackman Park then I'd hate to see them

Bohs fans kept holding onto the balls and throwing them onto the pitch when we got forward, karma sort of bit you in the ass 94th minute winner simply due to you doing that :D

Does anyone take records of assists? Because if they do they can give our second goal tonight to Bohs fans. Cheers lads :)

Got to feel sorry for Dundalk GK Ger Hanley. He came into the starting 11 tonight (3rd start i believe)ahead of team regular Peter Cherrie.Following a clash with one of his own players on about 28 mins he was taken off injured with a suspected broken wrist.Hope the injury isnt as serious as was first suspected and best wishes to the lad for a speedy recovery from injury.

Some great banners up there from Pats and Bohs. I can't help but feel that there will be some nazi freedom of speech supressing fines handed it out for this. In TX, Derry had "JD drinks while a LOI club sinks".

The board of management of Drogheda United would like to apologise unreservedly for the inappropriate behaviour of an element of our supporters in the stadium on Friday night. On a night when we had four underage teams taking part in the activities in the ground at half time, we received numerous complaints from parents and our genuine supporters. Indeed many people left the ground early.

It was a very important night for Drogheda United with a number of distinguished guests including a national television crew from Turkey, sponsors and cross channel football representatives in attendance.

Drogheda United prides itself on being an ambassador for the town both nationally and globally and has the reputation of being a welcoming and friendly club.

It is the position of the club that everyone who enters the ground agrees to behave in a dignified and respectful manner and to make the match night experience enjoyable for everyone.

The actions of a minority of the crowd were completely unacceptable and the club will take appropriate action to ensure that there is no repetition.

****ing arsehole Drogheda board. Playing in front of 200 people 2 years ago. More than likely most of the lads involved in doing up their banners

But the bad language offended 'cross channel football representatives' and Turkish TV. Go and ****ing ****e

Although I personally agree with the sentiment you are expressing Dodge (though I find all those stars offensive...) let's remove the anti-JD/FAI goggles for a second and look at it from the perspective of Drogheda the club. If families were leaving early then there is a danger of losing some of the fan base that is critical to sustain the club in the short to medium term. Some sort of toothless gesture, which is all this release is, would be a fairly reasonable step to take. History shows you can sh*t on your hardcore all you want and they will generally remain. They've just tried to mitigate the negative feedback they received from a few parties last night. They may be also trying to mitigate the inevitable fine winding its way from HQ.

Listen, I'm not saying its right, i think its a cop out but I'm just saying there's another perspective that has validity too.

What I'd really be angry about is the reference to "genuine fans" suggesting that those engaged in offensive chants are not. That's low.

"Cross channel football representatives" or scouts as you and I may call them. Joke.

How offensive were the chants? If they were foul-mouthed you can see the club's point. Not that a bit of docker lingo has ever kept the kids away from Tallaght Stadium :)

There's a lot to be said for a terrace education. Especially if you're lucky enough to attend one of the local schools.

we were chronic. it was like they were still on holidays until the red card. Oddly could have then won the game, Derry fans saying we could have had 3 penalties, both teams doing their most to lose the game it would seem

Forget taking records and learn what an assist is  pats won because they were much, much better side on the night. The fact that they took so long to take the lead (and looked void of imagination until Chambers waddled on) was the only surprise.

As for the crowd, what time did the Cork muppet add on for pats pitch Invasion ? zilch. Are you suggesting kelly was biased/ inconsistent :o ? Only worrying thing about the crowd for me was how awfully small it was, worrying times indeed for the League

Dodge, I suspect (sincerely hope) that Drogs statement was an attempt to prevent the inevitable FAI fine. How clubs ever allowed fines for abuse of Delaney (think it was Shels) is beyond me and was a sad day for football.

If that clown thinks he is beyond critism then he is in even more deluded than we thought.

Personally, I would like to congratulate Drogs fans and fans across the league that expressed their concern at the state our League has become. Long overdue.

[QUOTE=kdjaC;1606639]Bohs fans kept holding onto the balls and throwing them onto the pitch when we got forward, :D[/QUOT

In fairness the Bohs players did the exact opposite and kept giving you posession of the football.
Terrible performance from Bohs, Pats much improved since the beginning of the season, the small crowd there from both sides is very worrying.( small and all as the crowd was we were stlll kept back for 15 minutes at the end of the game)

Dodge

It's definitely more annoying when the crowd is small. We were in Dundalk earlier and no more than 700 at the game. Still took 20 minutes to allow away fans out.

To give Bohs some credit I thought they tried to play ball. We battered them in first half but struggled in 2nd until Chambers came on. Bohs defended well but Chambers passing just gave us an extra edge

Of course being a football fan you never think you'll get a later winner. Which is why they're beautiful
