Can't seem to find an answer to this no matter where I look. Anyone else had this problem?

When I type a wrong URL into Internet Explorer, it redirects through dnscaching.net, and opens up the MSN search page.

eg http://www.fooot.ie/ becomes http://www.dnscaching.net/dnserror/?url=http://www.fooot.ie/ which then goes to the MSN search page http://search.msn.com/results.aspx?srch=104&FORM=AS4&q=http://www.fooot.ie/

Anyone know how to solve it?

not 100 % sure but i think u might have spyware in ur computer . best way to get rid of it is to download something like AdAware which roots it out and deletes it .

Default values have been reset by spyware or addware.

If you are comfortable and know what should not be in your pc's registry I would suggest hijackthis available for download at www.download.com

Cheers, that worked great. Checked for spyware with a few different programs but they couldn't find the problem. It was a DLL file causing it.

Could you do me a huge favor, and describe the method you used to remove the .dll and its traces? I don't even know what the name of the .dll is, and frankly don't want to go through the troubles of using hijackthis.

It sucks that Spybot and AdAware don't catch this one yet.

Thanks a ton,
Chuck
