...When I wake up yeah I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who wakes up next to you
When I go out yeah I know I'm gonna be
I'm gonna be the man who goes along with you...

Useless, yet interesting fact.
Apparently one of the Pistoia XI that played tonight was at Inter Milan at the same time as Robbie Keane.

How long was Keanes stay in Italy anyway? I've killed too many brain cells to remember.

He was bought at the end of July 2000 and was loaned to Leeds in December, made permanent the following May.

I'm shocked at the decision to not give Doyle a run-out. It would have been the ideal game for him considering he is in dire need of a confidence boost.
Do we need to give him a confidence boost though, with three other strikers looking to usurp him? Doyle can hardly say he hasn't had plenty of opportunities. I'm sure he'll get another one against Hungary too.

The FAI's trophy cabinet is truly bulging at this stage.

That must be the ugliest, most garish trophy I've ever seen. Could they not let us take Miss Italy home instead?

They will probably have to take some out to get that one in, it's quite big, God help us is we wing the Euro's we will probably have to build and extension to the trophy room.

Robbie's first goal was a cracker. Hope he keeps that goal scoring sharpness going.
Second goal was a cracker too, great ball in and great finish.
The keeper did well to palm Foley's free kick into the centre of the goal, still at least he saved it I suppose.
