Finn Harps Football Club would like to announce that Felix Healy has resigned from his position of Director of Football due to other commitments. The club would like to thank Felix for all his efforts and wish him all the best for the future. The club will release a statement regarding the new management structure as soon as possible.

Just heard on the radio that he's resigned, this is the statement from their website. Has Harps anyone in mind to replace him? can't say I was ever a big fan of his.

Hutton is staying on with Sean 'Wizard' McGowan coming up from the league winning u-19's as assistant.

All I can say is I'm delighted he's finally gone.

Supporters have been split in their approval of Felix Healy. A section of supporters weren't happy with his appointment in the first place. Now, there's a large selection of fans not happy with how things are going this season, and the general lack of interest being shown by him.

Saying that, there's a lot of fans who stand by him, mainly because of the promotion season where Felix was in charge.

At the end of the day, there's some who support him, and there's a lot who don't. This season so far has been an absolute disgrace. Couple of good wins, followed by awful performances, awful results, and sitting 3rd bottom with only the 2 Galway teams below us.

We should not be where we are, after all the hard work put in by the fans in pre-season to keep the club afloat, it just seems like there was a man in charge, who didn't care if the club stayed or went.

This is all my own opinion, and not of all the fans, but as far as I see, we're much better than we're showing.

All I can say is, I'm looking forward to Wizard putting a bit of faith back into the team, and will really make them bust their balls in training. There might be a big change to come for Harps.

What do Harps need a director of football for?
Nothing even resembling football has been played up there for years.

so what did healy do when he was with ye? was he involved with the training in any way? its no harm that healy is gone as he caused harm to peter hutton as imo I always considered Felix Healy as the mgr and pizza the no two!

Felix was the manager and Pizza was assistant.
Felix didnt have the badges so couldn't be named manager.

Pizza done all the training, Felix picked the team.

He actually did mention it on Setanta Martinho, during the SSC final the main commentator said he had the Finn Harps D.O.F sitting next to him with Healy quickly interrupting to say former Finn Harps D.O.F.

I don't see the logic in slamming Healy without being critical of the people who appointed him in the first place. When are the Finn Harps board going to realise that throwing money over the border to muckers who just use the club as a stop gap until they get the call from the Brandywell is not a sustainable model to run the club on.

Wa-hey!! someones found a way to blame us! Where did you hear that Healys returning to the Brandywell out of interest?

It's not like Donegal men are immune to running off for extra money at Derry. We have a tiny budget and therefore will be vulnerable to losing players and officials to those paying decent money. Such is life.
