It seems like a month ago since we beat Athlone now! That's just the excitment that you have for each game with the team doing so well.

Anyway, it's 1st v 3rd on Saturday night so please God a decent crowd will turn out and events across the pond won't drain our gate too much.

As for the game itself, if should be another very tough test but when I was doing up some stats for last nights game I realised that Wexford do not travel particulary well and with our very impressive home form we should win!

Just seen that Chris Deans is suspended for Saturday nights game! Shocked they have no one suspended the amount of yellow cards they have this season compared to us is amazing.

The kids and my niece making their debut for this, so I'll be bringing an additional 4 (including the missus) for this one. I'd just take a win to be honest and keep building the total. The other challengers seem to be taking points off each other, so if we can continue to avoid that this series we'll be well placed.

What's happening in the US? I thought the FA Cup final might have an impact, but not something in America...

Great to hear you guys have some new recruits coming to the game. I have been bringing a new mate of mine to games this season and he loves it even traveled to Galway and Limerick so lets hope the new faces keep on coming.

Hopefully we can keep a rare clean sheet! However, I predict 2-1 to De Town (jebus willing) sadly won't make the game as I must attend a wedding :(

Likewise. There's nothing I like better than giving Youths a good hammering but I, unfortunately, have two weddings on this weekend. Ridiculous.Going to go with 2-1 also. Gillespie to finally score.

COME ON! One nil, four points ahead, eight ahead of Waterford in third. We just can't stop. Delighted with the clean sheet too, should Deans be given a break in light of this?

Don't think we were overly impressive, but it was a solid performance, should have gotten at least a second with all the chances we missed, but the clean sheet is great, feels like every game is a cup final :D

Gillespie's set pieces are spot on in fairness to him, hes a much better and more influential player for us this season.

Far from pretty but I'l take that win any day over losing stylish.

such a relief to get the win but we should have won by more.. how jeff and tomo missed sitters I will never know.. youths were unlucky not to score when kirbs tried to be too clever on the wing and got dispossessed and youths attacked and had a claim for a peno waved away.. then they hit a shot that just went wide!

moment of the match was that crap ref falling on his arse and makin a plonker of himself!:p

The ref was absoutely horrendus was delighted to see him land back to earth so to speak haha took him ages to get up, how they pass fitness tests il never know. As for the referees asserssors my God they deserve an award and a pay rise for what they do......Which is sit with their notebook packed away while they talk to home fans about English football for the entire 1st half it's ridiculos between the 2 of them there is nothing done, that is why refereeing will always be muck in this country.

Turns out that referee (Darren Coombes) won't be taking up the whistle for quiet a while again....just heard that he popped his knee refereeing Rovers VS Pats in the LSC today had to be replaced by 4th off. Must have been that heavy fall after all haha.

I actually don't think I have seen as bad as he was for years. Bit dissapointed that we didn't take a couple of our chances in the second half, especially Gary's when he was one on one, nearly had a heart attack when that ball was pinging around our box in injury time!

Was in tallaght yesterday when he got injured, an absolutely horrendous injury, nobody near him and he went down in agony, dont wish what I saw happen yesterday on anyone. Dislocated knee could mean about 4 or 5 months out, not a nice one by all accounts.

His knee jolted causing him to fall yesterday rather than him actually just falling over, can easily happen when the foot is planted on the ground rather than it being clumsy

Whilst not wishing injury on him (assessors should be dropping ref's not up to it), I know what I'd be going with after witnessing Saturday...
