Limerick FC v Liverpool XI, Monday 14 May


Limerick FC is delighted to announce a prestigious friendly match with Liverpool FC. As part of the celebrations of 75 years of Limerick Senior Soccer, a Liverpool XI will play Limerick FC on Monday 14 May at Jackman Park, kick-off 7:45pm.

The Liverpool squad contains an array of players capped at youth international level from England, Germany, Spain, Hungary, Wales and Portugal.

The Liverpool XI will be managed by Rodolfo Borrell who is now in his third season at Liverpool. Mr Borrell previously held a position at FC Barcelona as Academy Coach in their youth system for 14 seasons. He is looking forward to the opportunity to show the Irish public the calibre of the players in his squad.

High demand for match tickets is anticipated from the legion of Liverpool supporters in Ireland.

Tickets are available from the Limerick FC Official Store at Arthurs Quay Shopping Centre (Patrick Street), the Limerick FC office, Ticketmaster outlets nationwide and online through ticketmaster.ie.

Ticket prices are as follows, with a limited number of concession tickets available:
Adult-Student-Under 16-OAP
Covered Stand €15·00—€8·00-€8·00
Terrace €10·00-€8·00-€5·00-€5·00

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday 2 May at 10:00am.

Going very well, only a few hundred left. They will be sold off at the club shop on patrick st, open 10 to 6 tomorrow, all kids tickets are now gone.

Three player have first team squad numbers

Nathan Eccleston played on the first team v Arsenal and Fulham

Peter Gulacsi, goalkeeper, was on the bench for the FA Cup v Everton

Conor Coady has been on the subs bench on a few occasions

The squad also includes England U-20 international Michael Ngoo.

and well deserved too, the liverpool lads liked Limerick, liked the hotel liked carew park today liked UL now we have to wait and see do they like Jackman Park.....:eek:

1-1, Liverpool had two stand out players and the rest very average. Coady and eccelston about the only two that could really progress to the first team.

Funniest moment was the Liverpool coach pulling a player off after 35 minutes, shout at him and bitch slap him when he sat on the bench.

Don't know what to make of judges return. Excellent player but with gamble, bradley, o Leary and mcgann there already will he get much game time? As a winger maybe.

Id have him in the team every single time ahead of McGann imo.

If he was there against SD i would have started him ahead of McGrath, delighted to have him back if he signs.

Team has looked very lethargic and uncommitted all year. I'd start him almost every week. The middle is a little crowded now but he could play right side, would probably even be more productive than Gaffney is on the left or you could play him behind Behan if Foley is not available.
