Did anyone else hear it? I heard it on Redfm earlier. I can't remember all of it but most of it went like this....

"Most people in Ireland like to follow foreign teams but here in the real capital we like to support our own club and that's why Cork City became the first Irish club to reach the quarter finals of a European competition. Now that we've conquered Europe we've got to deal with the Dublin problem. This Saturday at 5pm in Turners Cross it's the Rebel Army versus Shelbourne.... Cork v Dublin. You are the Rebel Army so make sure you're in there on Saturday to help us finally sort the Dublin problem."

I thought it was brilliant to be honest, it's sums up the wonderful attitude of the Rebel Army.

Heard it, loved it> :)
Perfectly timed for the start of the Premiership and all.
Pablo, it wasn't Dolan speaking..but it wouldn't surprise me if he supplied the text.
Fair play to RedFM for coming up with it.

What are you on about? This has nothing to do with Redfm being our matchday partners. This is an ad which City have to pay the Radio staions to air.
I've already heard it on 96fm three times this morning, great publicity for the game.

Decent ads like that make all the difference. The ones in Dublin for the "Dublin darbies" promote the games rather than the old style...it's not as bad as you think rubbish.
Advertising works and there is no reason there shouldn't be a sellout on Saturday - two top eL teams, quality strikers, midfielders and defenders, both competed well in Europe this season.
Hopefully City will not suffer from the TV3 live on air bug.

Brian Lennox said in the programme today that the club spent €5 grand on the ad during the week. Have to say that it was worth it.
