Nice afternoon here, few showers earlier seem to have cleared up and will hopefully be decent weather for a game of football. Hoping for a decent crowd.

Big game with Roddy returning home to Dalymount, wish I could be there. Cork could cause a surprise as I still have some doubts about Sligo despite a great start to the season. vital for Pats to win if they want to stay in touch.

Cork to be the surprise of the night and Shels to draw in Drogheda and I'll be a happy man.

16' - Goal - BOW DOWN AND WORSHIP MY FOOTBALLING INSIGHT!!! That man (boy) Sean Maguire wins the ball high up the pitch, jinks his way past a couple of Wexford 'defenders' on the edge of the area and spanks a left-footed strike inside Doyle's near post. :o

Darren Quigley saved well. To add to the drama, Twigg had already smashed home the first penalty but referee Paul McLaughlin made him retake because he was already going over to the sideline to send off the Bray assistant manager Keith Long when Twigg shot.

Rovers battle back as they usually do but points dropped all the same.
Getting very close at the top.

Yep great result alright especially on the back of such a large defeat last week.

I'm not getting carried away or anything, but I'm going down to the bookies first thing in the morning and putting €100 for Dundalk to win the league after that result.

A bit sickened in the end by that result considering the three points were within our grasp. Would've snapped your hand off for a point beforehand though. Shams are not all that great. Goals aside they didn't create a whole lot. The penalty incident was bizarre. Mon the Seagulls.
Pats well tonight. Smashing game and UCD defo played their part
Some result for Roddy. Lost 6-0 last week and keeper off after 3 minutes.

Tonigh shows that it is a very competitive league. Crucial wins for both Dundalk and Monaghan (both away) keeping it very tight in the bottom half of the table. Drogheda the real surprise club so far but Sligo's excellent start must make their supporters wish they had let Cooke go much earlier.

Hancock at his usual siht again in the Brandywell tonight, awarded a 90th+ min pen to Derry and sent off Chris Shields before he was over-ruled by the lino and a direct free kick was given in the 'D' instead.
Referee Damien Hancock was at the centre of incredible 90th-minute drama as he sent off captain Chris Shields and awarded a penalty to Derry City only to have his mind changed by linesman Paul Deering, as Dundalk held on for a precious 2-1 win at The Brandywell on Friday night.

Well at least we have goal difference. That is some defensive record Pats have, Sligo too.

Fully deserved too, in my biased opinion. We were on top most of the game, even with only ten men

Pats match was brilliant, easily the best 15 quid i have spent in years. UCD are as ever under Russell very pleasing on the eye and they played well. They changed to 352 and went at us in the 2nd half, creating one of the best 30 minutes of football i have ever seen.
cracking game.
