Back in the days of boycotts, defections and hostage taking maybe but all the fun is gone now.

No you still have everybody trying to beat the Americans, as well as all the little mni African battles, the eastern europeans trying to get one up on each other and then the arabs v Israel....

All done with a smile

Apparently the US Olympic committee have warned all athletes to tone down celebrations and to refrain from over use of the US flag...

Yeah the footballs the only thing in the games I'd bother to watch. Serbia v Argentina on eurosport today should be good hopefully.

I dont really like all the running and swimming its a bit drab. Same goes for the bike races and rowing. I suppose we can all look at the athletes' eyes and play "spot the druggie" but thats not the point of it all. Is there tennis at the Olympics ? If there is then it might be worth watching the Russians but apart from that its far behind the World Cup and even European Championships in terms of interest at a sporting event for me.

No, he specifically called it musak....

And back to the point, Some big name players playing in the olympics this year (football wise) Loved Craig moore picking his country ahead of his club...
