PS3 YLOD & www.theconsolerepair.ie

My PS3 has gone kaput and it seems to be the Yellow Light O f Death, i read on some forum that replacing the HDD can fix the problem which I did but the problem still occurs. I asked a few local computer repair shops but none of them can fix it. So I goggled and got these guys http://www.theconsolerepair.ie/, and emailed them requesting a quote.

Has anyone dealt with them before?
Or if anyone had had YLOD fixed can you give me a rough idea of the cost?

My PS3 has had the YLOD twice and the laser went. Both common faults with first gens.
Got it fixed by these lads in Bray.

Couldn't recommend them higher; great to deal with and no bull****. And a number of girls in work have had their kids' various consoles fixed here too!

The initial YLOD cost €45.00 and the second and any (inevitably) subsequent ones was €25.00.

AS an update to this. I lasted until around Xmas with that YLOD repair. They normally say it'll be about 4-6months.

The lads charged me 15 for that repair. But they said that the next time it goes, it's a goner. :(
