Being honest i thouight we were lucky to get away with a win. We will need to dig alot deeper to get out of trouble. Super display from vinny perth and dessie baker, both definetly deserve their places in the team. Lets not get carried away its only one win so don't start praisin Matthews like he has won us the league

Where you there last night??? If you were I don't know what game you were watching, Waterford had only two chances last night, Kirby clearing off the line & the so called peno, even the waterford players thought it was a free out & started to run out of the box, even waterford fans didn't think it was a peno, even the 4th official said it was no peno. We on the other hand had several chances & should have been 3 up at half time, Kirby hitting the crossbar from 4 yards, dessie rounding the keeper & putting it wide.In the second half,Lavines shot cleared by a blues defender a yard off the line, a blues hand ball in their peno area not give (it was more a peno than the one they got)

i think what my right hand man techs was suggesting was that we scored only once from our many chance and as a subsequence had they scored the peno we would have only drew gheewizz

De town totally deserved to win the game. A very poor attendance were at the game inc 25 town fans! Dessies goal was very opportunistic - intercepting a header back to the waaaterford goalie from a blues defender and toepokeing past dan connor! The turning point of the match was Alan Reynolds limping off the pitch from a Dean Fitzgerald tussle!

Reynolds was like a bull in the second half effing and blinding his team-his pride hurt by the brilliant challenge by Deano! great revenge for his antics in the last match! Kirbs as gheewhizz stated earlier hit the crossbar from aprox 6 yards out. Kirbs had a stormer of a match along with Pip and Dessie!

The peno was a disgrace-what happened was vinny perth hit an awful backheader back to digger, darylmurphy intercepted it and fouled digger as digger came out -peno! but justice was done as bruton hit an awful penalty as he hit it badly wide!

De town are back and just watch the lads storm up the table! Lavine was excellent upfront ,Shane Barrett played ok in patches and should have scored himself but chose to do a eric lavine and pass it back to Kirbs who hit the crossbar! Waterford were very poor and you would expect them to drop down the table forward as their defensive record is very poor!

I never mentioned the peno but now that you brought it up I agree it was a disgrace of a decision. I still think we need a big change and I am sticking by that. As for alan kirby he is useless, he hasnt played well in a long time. It was no surprise he hit the crossbar. His place should be seriously in doubt, we have better than him for that position

Thought Kirby played well to be fair. He's been having a bad season but i felt he was much better on Friday.
