Good win for Shels tonight, terrible away support for Derry must have been about 80 at best. Was like a throw back to first div away support......

If you pause that just as Ndo is about to hit it, all the Bohs players are on their 6 yard line, very deep. Good finish but poor from Bohs

Also, Sligo's new nets are the best in the league, they look deadly

Jesus Harps were terrible tonight. The pitch in Lissywollen is nothing short of shocking too. Athlone played pure hoof football, start to finish. 2 terrible goals.
Disappointing after how attacking we were against Mervue to go and perform so poorly against an Athlone team that aren't good at all.

Oh Twigg of Scotland will we ever see your likes again. ..
Sketchy goalkeeper apart it would have been a travesty if we left turners cross without a point at least.
Great to be back in cork city. Proper city with good people.
Turners cross is a great ground ~all the clubs who have illusions of granduer about their own grounds take note .

Ouch.

Not a fan of Cork City but that's really tough on them, they were defending really well and would've deserved the three points.

Not when they had their striker ballooning it wide one on one, awful, awful - a draw was deserved
Sending off - did look pretty bad on the slow mo

How was Lynch's general play? The few times I strayed up to Drogheda last year he looked exceptional. He gave that some wallop. Hot Shot Hamish would have been proud.

I was right behind the goal, I didn't see the ball from he struck it until it appeared rattling around the top corner of the net. He was OK on a night when we were very poor.

Top of the league, 3 wins from 3. Can't remember the last time that happened, if ever. Martinho will be along soon enough to tell me I'm sure. Waterford next week is a big one already

as far as I know its our best ever start but will look through the records to see anythin similar. even in the 99-00 season we never had a start as good as this!

Wow great goal Sligo

Talking of great goals (terrible segue, but I'm desperate to shoehorn this in), Gary Dempsey's 30 yard freekick v Salthill on Friday night:

Rubbish game, top goal.

Pretty poor goalkeeping there in fairness. It was more a floated free. Should never have went in. Well hit though. Similar to Noel McGees free for Athlone against Harps. Poor goalkeeping just.

just looked up the stats today.. its only the second time in our history that we won the first three league games.. the last time it happened was the 85-86 season in Billy Bagster era and we were top with six points (two for a win back then) and Sligo Rovers were one behind with five points..Alas we finished 3rd that season and missed out on promotion..The record for us unbeaten in the league from the start was the 96-97 season where we went 8 games unbeaten(2 wins and 6 draws) under Mickey O'Connor.

Powell straight red for Rovers. Bizarre decision. It was a foul, nothing more.

Three sendings off I've seen this season so far. Quigley, Keane and Powell and not one of them warranted a straight red.

Straight red? No way was it a dangerous tackle. I was right beside it and it was clumsy at worst. Anyways it's old news now.

I'm assuming he's referring to Darren Quigley, the Bray keeper rather than Mark Quigley's assault!

Powell's was a potential leg breaker. It wasn't done with malicious intent, but that doesn't matter. I thought Kenny's defence was laughable: "Conor's not even looking at the ball." Er, exactly.
