Have Pat's been deducted 3 points in the Elite Division as per this link: http://loi19.webnode.com/news/st-pats-in-points-deduction/

If so, does anyone have any more information? Just says they fielded an ineligible player. Does that mean an over-age player? If they have been deducted 3 points then who gets them? If it's from their win over Bohs then that changes things dramatically at the top of the table.

I know nothing about this case but, when a team is deducted points I don't think the points are given to another team?

That's the thing, it seems to be a grey area. My own thinking on it was that the game is awarded as a 3-0 win to the team(s) the ineligible player was played against. If that makes sense?

When we were found to have fielded an ineligible player last season Monaghan United were awarded the win for that game.

That sounds about right to me. For some reason, a 3-0 win is in my head.
