It was inevitable when he quit as chairman this would happen. The international role was only ever a sideway move before he would eventually step down entirely having stepped aside.

I'd like to see him get involved in the domestic game and look to resurrect a LoI club.

It would be great to see him in some role with a LOI club, or the league in itself, but I cannot see it happening.

I heard this was coming a good few months ago, as he has a venture lined up here in ireland, heading up a development along the lines of La Manga Complex/

He mentioned Carlos' winner against Burnley to get promotion but not David Connolly's equally important equalising penalty (after having missed a penalty) :mad:

Very interesting article about Sunderland and Quinn's role there in the last six years. How Ireland has changed money wise in that period of time!
