> The new Henrik Larsson, Craig Beattie scored again.
> Henri Camara looks certain to sign
> American's haven't got a clue:

The Glasgow Celtics first win this year has been Manchester United’s first loss on American soil, as Craig Beattie’s goal in the 71st regulation minute gave the Scots a 2-1 decision over the Red Dveils at the Champions World Tour.

Scheduled to play a tour-high four matches, the Celtics were playing for the third time in five days. It lost to Chelsea 4-1 in Saturday’s tour opener in Seattle and to Liverpool 5-1 on Monday in East Hartford, Connecticut.

But facing the tour headliners in front of a crowd of 55,000, the Scots played their most spirited match and dealt the first setback to Manchester, which battled Bayern Munich to a no score tie in Chicago on Sunday.

Celtic took a one-goal advantage when Chris Sutton converted a penalty restart after Petrov had been fouled illegally in the scoring area by the Manchester defense.

Manchester United got one in the 36th minute when newly signed up Smith got his first goal in a Red Devils kit scoring with a powerful header from a corner apex restart to tie the game.

The tie did not last long and offensive replacement Beattie got the decisive goal scoring past Team USA goalkeeper Tim Howard after a great assist pass by Sutton.

The Red Devils now go to play Milan in the battle of the Giants while the Celtics go to Toronto to finish their Champions World Tour series against Roma..

Prso was obviously v. impressive against Depor obviously but think he was often a bit part player for Monaco (trying to look on the bright side here.) Scored against Chels in the home leg of the semi but didn't really notice hime apart from that. From what I've seen and heard of Boumsong he is meant to be a good buy., that could be a bit worrying. As for th gap narrowing, for the sake of football in Scotland (if anyone wants to start 'ohh told you its British football' etc please go to the Offical pro/anti Celtic thread.) it desparately needs to. If R*****s can't narrow the gap when Celtic's most influencial player leaves then they are in more trouble then anyone thought.

Think Rangers did well with their signings, Boumsong and Prso could be useful additions for a team that were supposed to be flat broke...gap could narrow in Scotland.

Yes, I fully expect them to narrow the gap to a seventeen-point margin this time around. They look good now, but as soon as they lose one or two to injury, they're ****ed. Bring it on. :D

There's just no excuse for poor hair in this day and age. Unless you're like the good Señor or Davros, that is. And - even then - there are plenty of decent syrup stockists out there... ;)
