Bohs sacked Steven Kenny after their UEFA cup exit last night !! I wonder is Roddy regretting taking the Dublin City/Home Farm/Everton job now?

I was just wondering if Dublin City were regretting taking on Roddy.
They could have had a "cut-price" Kenny if they'd waited a week.
I still think he's one of the best managers in the league.
His players just don't want to play this season for some reason.
The hunger must be gone.

you loose a game in euroope and you get sacked!!(I know there was alot more to it than that, camels back and all) Jesus the league has come a long way! was it Pats lost 10-0 there a few years ago and there was no sacking!!

I don't know, there's very divided opinion on Roddy in Bohs from what I hear. I don't think too many of the board are too enamoured with him after the last time he was there. I doubt Bohs would ofer him the job.

Stephan Kenny being sacked is totally harsh. Surely the man should have been given till the end of the season. He deserves better than that. I think any manager would find it hard to work under the constraints he has to work under. I dont know? What do the fans want? All I know is that their supporters are a fickle lot. Cork City went up to play them last year when they were 2nd and we were 3rd and their was less than 2000 at the game. From the outside it looks like The supporters are running the club which is dangerous. The club should be stonger than the mob.

And apparantly it was only a small section of fans calling for his head. I think they should have waited until the end of the season or until they had someone else lined up. I think knee jerk reaction, Bohs fans say straw that broke the camels back, and they would prob know better, but its a rash decision all the same.

********! If you look at the Bohs msg board, you will see that only one person has disagreed with his sacking (and that person's views are somewhat eccentric all the time). Hardly a small section  .

The sad facts are that Kenny was crippling the club with the under-achievement this year and for most of last year as well. It might not be nice but the right decision was made.

Kenny didn't get the results so he got sacked. Simple as that.

considering kenny brought us up from the hell hole of nowhere with no money and in his first season won the league with you and came second the next year what more can the man do to justify him being a great manager.you idiots at bohs are in the league cup final in the fai cup and not yet out of the league.consider this bohs fans kenny has been given little or no money in which to strenghten the side so shels by far the past two seasons have had way better squad than yee.bohs have 11 good players and maybe 1 or2 on the bench while shelbourne have 11 good players 5 on the bench and other good players in the stands.in fact id go as far as to say kenny has done well considerdering the limited resourse he had at his disposal

I'm not trying to be down on Bohs. I'm just to trying to see the logic in sacking him at this stage of the season. Obviousley any Bohs fan would know Bohs better than me. I only said small section cos this is what was said in the papers and TV3. "A small section of fans chanted Kenny out after the Tallinn game". Can I ask you, whats plan B? What do Bohs do for the rest of the season. No manager and no one lined up.
