Thankfully i'm not expoised to his "expertise" too often but home last weekend & reading the post Nantes v City Echo - Splillane said city lost game cos "Dolan didn't make any subs" dispite evidence that keeping team together got the late away goal.

AFAIK Spillane is the Echo "chief soccer writer"? Was he converted from some other sport or what?

Sure didn't ye hear of the unwritten rule that you can't win a game if you don't use subs??!
In some situations in the past, I have thought that Dolan should have switched things around though. (Not the Euro games)
