Not really the right forum but Nigel Doughty the owner of Nottm Forest was found dead in the gym today, no mention of the cause of death but going by Forests recent form I would not rule out suicide however he may simply have over did it on the exercise.
Not sure if he is Irish but with a name like that he could be.

Sad news, TC. More here from the BBC. Not much to go on at this stage and no speculation about the cause of death, which is as you'd expect from the Beeb.

He's English it seems. His son plays for Crawley Town and Wales but is English..

I always thought that Forest was run by a committee elected by the members.

He's English and founder of well known private equity firm Doughty Hanson, hence his fortune. Nice to see rich guys giving something into the game. I think he was a good owner but it's a shame that the excesses of the premier league means that clubs like Forest need rich benefactors just to stay alive.
