1st time ever a LoI side reaches the quarter final of a European Competition - surely Aertel cannot get it wrong - Oh Boy they can

1) Give result as 1-0 to Cork

2) Correct it later

3) Then claim Nantes had a narrow win-

Usuaul story yesterday as score of F.A.I. Cup tie in Dundalk was reversed and given as 4-3 to Quay Celtic when they actually lost 4-3.

Letters to RTE go unanswered now - they don't care and obviously don't want to fix it.

I'm beginning to wonder if this is just gross incompetence or is somebody sick enough to put up the wrong results on purpose. Surely nobody is that incompetent.

Their usually not that bad from my experience of them but I usually don't take there results as definite without getting the result verified by another source,e.g the radio or maybe phone a friend.

Great post on the Finn Harps forum from Mr A during the Cup game with Shels and Harps 3-0 down at half-time -

"The good news is that we're only 2-0 down on aertel. Play our cards right and we could go one nil up in the second half."

:D

Anybody know how BBC can have these results correct all the time even when Aertel is wrong.

I guess it is because the RTE Sports Department supply them and RTE Sport are reasonably competent (you don't get the wrong results on the radio except on rare occasions) but the idiots who work for Aertel can't get the scores right from them.

But surely even the ultimate incompetent monkey cannot be that bad - is it something more sinister - is somebody just toying with the emotions of football fans and deliberately putting up wrong results and getting a sick pleasure from it?
