THE ELECTRIC PICNIC – The Boutique Music Festival

Just when you thought it was all over for the summer, you’ve experienced the highs and the lows of summer gig. POD brings you the final summer
festival to hang up your festival boots on a high - The Electric Picnic –on Saturday September 4th in the intimate settings of Stradbally Hall a 500 acre estate, just 55 minutes from Dublin in Co Laois.

The eclectic line up Groove Armada, Super Furry Animals, Jurassic 5 ,
Grandmaster Flash Arrested Development, Lee Scratch Perry plus band, David
Kitt, Erol Alkan, Pump Djs, Soulwax and 2 Many DJ's, are amongst the quality
acts confirmed to date.

The rolling lawns of Stradbally Hall will provide the perfect setting for a
feast of first rate quality music, entertainment and food on its picturesque
estate surrounded by forest. With capacity limited to 15,000 you don’t have to worry about seeing 'nothing down the back' and whilst stiletto heels aren’t recommended, The Electric Picnic promises to be a whole lot more comfortable and accessible. You won't be stuck in four hour
traffic jams and you won't have to trek across 17 fields to get to you
car. Let alone find it! With special attention to festival fare there
will be plenty on offer with contributions from Nude and an eclectic variety
of tasty and healthy deli foods -sorting out the mosh pit from the
marinades.

The Electric Picnic will be served up across three stages, with a main
outdoor venue and two marquees. An entertaining aside for those sporting
music aficionados will be a tent equipped with a massive screen beaming the
Irish World Football Cup qualifier – live."

Comedy line up for Electric Picnic

The organisers of The Electric Picnic have announced the addition of The International Comedy Club Stage to the festival, which takes place at Stradbally Hall, Laois on 4 September.

New York comedian Des Bishop, presenter of TV's 'The Des Bishop Work Experience' will MC the comedy stage, with Tommy Tiernan headlining.Also present will be the Aprés Match team to provide analysis on the live screening of the Ireland V Cyprus World Cup qualifier. (In case you were wondering - tiktok)Among the musical acts featured will be Groove Armada, Super Furry Animals, Arrested Development and David Kitt.

Tickets for the event are limited to 15,000 and are available now from outlets nationwide, priced at €59.50.
