Just came across Jamie Duffy on Twitter https://twitter.com/#!/JamieBlvd he has over 1,000 followers looks like Keith Gillespie could have a new Town twitter rival :)

Extratime.ie reckon David McGill won't be joining us after all. What's gone on there? A bit disappointing but if there was a choice between him and Kirby then it's Kirbs every time.

I think part of the reason he was let go by shels is that he was recovering from injury, and there were doubts whether he would come back to the level he was at.. I hope things work out for him, and maybe a short term deal when the summer window re-opens might still be on the cards..

Heard a few weeks ago that the Romanian lad who played a game with us in pre season will be back during the summer, just popped into my head!

How true that is would be another matter but apparently he didn't sign to us because he wanted to finish school first or something..

Yea, but I heard the reason was that he was contracted to another club, but we'll see!

Also, Owen Hargreaves has been released, maybe we could get him on a pay by play basis? :D

Willo McDonagh and Tony Griffiths have signed with the club for the remainder of the season following their release from Monaghan Utd.

They're both pretty useful, experienced players. Should improve the squad.

profiles on our two new signings! It rings a bell with Tony Griffiths once I read his profile. He had spells with Kilkenny City, Crumlin Utd(twice), Shels, and Mons

Willo McDonagh, from first impression looked good on the ball last week, a towering centre half and of course a threat going forward at set pieces. Will have to see more of him, but looked decent.

Robert Bayly and Darragh Reynor have signed for the Town. Both ex Monaghan.

Delighted with the signing of Bayly on his day he can be a top class playmaker

Good player all right, bound to pick up a few cards with the refs in this division however. He's a hothead.

Hopefully thad a problem we won't have to deal with for a long time because right now we can't afford any more suspensions.....I take it ge won't get clearance to play in time for tomorrow? Fai are always slow with transfers.

I'd imagine that should have been "he". I'd say he's available if he's fit, usually the only delay with registration is if the player needs international clearance which obviously isn't the case here.

see on extratimes website that Graham Dowling and James O Brien have departed the club.

I'll be disappointed if that's true, I thought O'brien was impressive in the Millwall and United games and was hoping he'd get a chance in the first team...

Same here I'd be disappointed for them too as O'Brien always impressed me when he came on he was a good passer well able to keep the ball while Dowling was one of our best players last season I dont think he ever fully recovered from some of the knocks he took.

I guess a couple had to be let go to make room for the ex Monaghan lads. Good luck to the lads if they have definitely gone.

If it is true it would make sense 4 in 4 out at the end of the day balancing the books is the most important thing.
