Under 19s who are top of their league beat Cobh who are 2nd 5-0 today..

Some very very good players in that team and they play some lovely football.

Young lad Cian Collins scored 4 today looks a very good player lovely touch and great finisher...Winger Darragh Rainsford scored also both of them would be worth giving runs to in the senior team next season. Barry Sheedy has already played senior of course he was on the wing today and played well...

Anto O'Donnell at left back looks good and solid too.

Great for the club to have an underage team doing so well and having a few very good young prospects...

Any on here seen em play this season?

I actually played with Cian Collins last year dunno how he wasn't picked up by the club before as he was at the trail the season before that for the under 20's but wasn't picked  But he's a great player, very strong and quick and a great finisher. Has some nice skill and a lovely touch like you said. He's defiantly a shout to be with the first team next year, he was even on the bench against Shels in the cup.

Last year was an under 20s league and a lot of these players that your talking about were too young. Most of the 19s that you see today were asked to sign but were deemed too young for 20s by parents etc. This year the 19s are in fact very very young as their is an age realignment so most are only 17. From last years 20s, Lee O'Mara, James O'Brien, Andrew Bhandarker, David O'Leary, Garbhan Coughlan, Sean O'Callaghan and others have got some first team apperances

Galway 0-1 Limerick

Cian Collins.

Heard we should have had a rake more and played Galway off the pitch. Well done again to the management team and players, they are having a great season.

Could anybody tell me if the club films the U19 matches? Much appreciated

No they're not filmed.
There was a clip shown of the U19s v Cobh for Nationwide on RTE, about 2 seconds of it aired, but obviousl y that was a once-off.

By the way next U19s match is Sunday at 2pm v UCD (Elite division club) - cup match.

Looks like the league could be gone now after the loss down in Cobh. Still two games to go though so hopefully they can still do it.

Heard Andrew Cowpar went off with a bad enough injury after 5 minutes. Any update on it?

Cowper went off severl times but came back on in each occasion and even with one leg was limericks best player as many of the much heralded players simply didnt turn up. season over

Sounds harsh enough. Was told Cobh just wanted it more and hounded the Limerick players from start to finish without giving them any time on the ball.

Huge weekend coming up for the u19's. Hopefully Tralee can take some points off Cobh and Limerick can beat Athlone to win the league. If both finish level on points will it be a play off?

no if they finish level points it goes to goal difference, then most goals scored if still tied, finally a play off comes into play.
