Must admit I know very little about him Anyone tell me what sort of player he is?
Thomas, he's literally a complete midfielder. Apart from Brennan, he has the best dead ball in the country.
He can pick a pass from absolutely anywhere, and is great in the challenge. He's very similar to Gamble, just more attack minded. He was in the PD Team of the Year last year.

From what I have seen of him he is a creative midfielder with a great pass. Should be a few clips on youtube of him. He was one of St.Pats best players last year.

It's a fantastic signing. A two year deal makes it even better.

Talking to Gary yesterday he said he is staying.

No point in saying names as it isnt just one player just i know they are still talking to a few and a lot of good names being mentioned.

its shaping up to being a good first 11, but i still think we need more strength and depth. Even if some of the 19s come through, i hope there are more signings on the way, like it says above. i think our strongest 11 would be

-------------------------------- b ryan -----------------------------------------------

kelly--------------purcell--------------------guthrie----------------bandakhar /c treacy

---------------------gamble------------------------bradley-----------------------

sheehan------------------------------------------------------------------gaffney

--------------------------------quinn / coughlan--------------------------------

----------------------------------behan---------------------------------------

that would leave d ryan, o'leary, mcgann, and either tracey or bandakhar. from what ive seen of the 19s, anthony o'donnell, sean o'callaghan, james mcgrath, darragh rainsford, colin daly and cian collins could all be back up or some of them squad players this season.
has anyone heard anything on barry sheedy, shane tracey, stevo signing back?

Jofspring

Barry Sheedy has signed back, Shane Tracey is close to and Stevo won't be signing.

Also Seamus Long to Limerick isn't happening now as he has re-signed for Waterford.

Well about three weeks ago you said he had signed which he had not and the lads said he had not so they where right in that sense at the time, so I wouldn't say the lads need to eat humble pie. If he had signed at the time then yes you would have been proven right. You where right with the link to Limerick FC alright. You where also wrong about McCarthy to Pike as he has signed for Athlone like the lads said and Tracey looks to be re-signing with the club too.

This is Bull he has had talks with Sligo Dundalk Drogheda and Pats since you said he had signed doesnt sound like mind made up to me.

Lads like Behan and Paddy P looking very very fit first training back tonight ....One or 2 there that have not been announced as re-signed and one lad on trial a striker.

Interview here that was done by Paul O'Riordan with new signing Stephen Bradley

Pre-season always tends to get fans excited. Rumours about potential signings always gets the hopes built up and this season more than ever Limerick hopes are very high. Stephen Bradley is one of our new arrivals and is widely regarded as the best midfielder in the country. His ability and experience have the Super Blues faithful convinced that our exile from top flight of Irish football is coming to an end.

Eyebrows might be raised at Bradleys’ decision to drop down to the First Division but the player himself is convinced, this is the club for him, “I spoke to Pat Scully before Christmas, I’ve never worked with him before but we had a good chat. He told me all about the club, the way they do everything properly and how they expect players to do things properly. We talked about the clubs plans and ambitions and I signed a two year deal because I knew this club was right for me”.

Stephen has just finished his first training session with his new team mates and has clearly settled in very quickly, “I know some of the lads already and I know about the rest of them. There’s real quality players throughout the squad and we’re just concentrating on ourselves and making sure we get off to a winning start”.

Although Limerick go into the start of the campaign as favourites, Bradley doesn’t feel any added pressure, “I don’t think that makes much difference, we all know the First Division is really tough, there’ll be good games and bad games but if we can physically match other teams then we’ll win most games, we have that quality”.

A final word of praise was kept for Limerick FC Chairman Pat O’Sullivan, “I met Pat Scully first then soon afterwards I met with Pat O’Sullivan, he talked about the structures in place already and how this is an up and coming club. We spoke about the new stadium and things like that, everyone here is on the same page, there’s stability here that other clubs don’t have, that’s vital. I could have gone to Sligo or Pats but I’m here and I’m here to win things, I just can’t wait to get started now”.

As fans we always get our hopes up but looking at this current squad and looking at the determination and professionalism shown at training, I’m really starting to believe that this is finally our year!!

Don't know if it will just be for the under 19's or first team. Don't know much about this lad but Charleville seem to have some decent young lads anytime I've played against them.

would I be right in saying that we have 2 players coming in i.e Guthrie & Bradley and 9 players going out i.e Yellow, Judge, White, Breen, Hynes, O'Flynn, Frost, Broughall, McCarthy... if so that leaves us fairly thin on the ground when you take our injury record into consideration????

I wouldn't think so. A lot of the injuries were collision injuries weren't they?

Gary - broken leg
Stevo - broken knee
Calla - (not too sure what the injury was but it happened in contact too)
Shane Tracy was his knee in a collision

I know Shaun maher tore his calf but other than that I can't think of any muscle injuries? Anyone from the club shed any light?

Only person I'd get worried about is Denis. Could be a nightmare of he gets injured.

I suppose you could look at it this way:

McCarthy - Guthrie.
Judge - Bradley.
Frost - yet to be replaced in my opinion.
Hynes - I'd count Gaffney here as he only came for the second half of last season and seemed to take Hynes place.
Broughall - Shaun Kelly for the same reasons as Gaffney.
Yellow - Sadly didn't see much game time last season so doesn't really count as a loss from last seasons first team.
White - With Calla out for pretty much the whole of last season it feels like he could be slotting in for Peter White if he re-signs.
Breen - Didn't see much first team either so similar to Yellow but Brosnan would be taking up his spot.
O'Flynn - Only played about 6 or 7 games last season so not really a lost from the regular first team.

In pre-season Sheedy and McGann seem to be getting a good bit of game time so they must be in the plans for the first team next season. Cian Collins is on the verge of the first team also. We have decent enough cover from the younger players I feel. One more defender (LB) and possibly another Winger/Striker and I think we are flying it.

only lasted 5 or 10 minutes. derek does not have much luck with injuries but in fairness the pitch today was very heavy in bishopstown so that may have played a part in the injury. limerick impressed me today very solid down the middle. center halfs solid, bradley and gamble great partnership and behan and paidi quinn worked well up top. goalkeeper was abit eratic in 1st half and your full backs didnt offer much going forward but other than that ye played well. should walk division 1 this season
