Me too and I only bought it in the summer. I'd like to think we'd be keeping it for the Euros if we qualify...

We will be using the current home jersey throughout 2012. It was confirmed upon the release of our current jersey that if we qualify, Umbro will not be unveiling a new one.

I could actually see Ivory Coast unveiling a jersey like that.

Ya that was definitely announced at the time but wouldnt rule it out that would change now we have almost qualified.

I think both the home and away jerseys are pretty decent these days.

I wouldn't rule out a bit of backpeddling by Umbro either. If however they stay true to their word as given I'm entirely confident we'll have a new white away strip and a new third (black/grey/navy/orange/other/maybe all lumped in together with lots of go-fasterstripes) strip and that we'll only wear a green strip once at the finals.

I concur. Speaking of the current one, anyone know where I'd be likely to get my hands on a size 40 long-sleeve one in Dublin tomorrow? The FAI shop online hasn't had any for a while, but I heard Champion Sports are giving €20 off on the current jersey if you hand in an old one. Would they have long-sleeve ones too? I won't really have time for a wild goose chase once I land.

Edit: Just came across this: http://www.irishsoccershop.com/collections/home-kit/products/2011-2013-ireland-home-jersey-long-sleeve-adult

Obviously, I wouldn't have it for a while, but they're selling the jersey for €52 with €14 for postage from the US. That's about €48.50 overall for jersey and postage from the US. What's the catch?

I thought the previous one was great. Simple but classic. Loved it.

Not liking the current effort (though havent seen it up close yet). Just doesnt look like an Ireland top to me.. in fact it reminds me of an old Norn Iron top from the late 90's?

I must agree. I really liked the last home jersey. Nice and simple. Traditional but classy.
This one just reminds me of Jimmy Quinn lobbing Packie Bonner

An Umbro rep just tweeted that the current kit will be the same for Euro 2012

Not me, from another forum.

I don't know which jersy would be good for the finals but I do hope they don't dress the lads in those skin tight ones like the Italians do. Alright for the girls, not for the lads tho.
